Knights Inn New Florence

Call the health dept!!! Wanted to watch TV and only a few channels working. Front desk clerk knew little-next room we checked no better- clerk did find us a functioning TV and we transferred rooms. Then in the morning, new desk clerk commented that “we were the ones who caused so much trouble last nite”! The breakfast area was unstocked and the sink there was especially dirty. My friend went to use the lobby toilet- IT WAS FULL OF DRIED FECES-NO SIGN ON THE DOOR THAT IT WAS OUT OF ORDER! MY FRIEND TOLD THE DESK CLERK AND HE COULD HAVE CARED LESS-SAID THEY KNEW BUT HADNT BEEN FIXED! HE JUST SHRUGGED AND BLEW IT OFF! THIS IS AN UNFORGIVABLE HEALTH HAZARD!! BOOKING.COM - THIS PLACE DESERVES A TOTAL ZERO RATING AND SHOULD NOT BE ON YOUR LIST AT ALL!!

Once we received the room we actually booked, we started to settle in and needed to request more towels as there were only 2 in the room, as well as a clean set of sheets for the bed- the ones we received on the bed were stained so did not look clean although they may very well have been clean to begin with. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating and gave us both clean sheets and towels!

Our room! When we arrived my husband had to sign a paper on no smoking in the room. No problem! We don’t smoke. But when we got to our room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. So they gave us another room. We were very tired. Rode on motorcycle for 500 miles that day. My husband fell asleep instantly. I, on the other hand, lay down and could smell urine/bodily fluids around me. It was horribly strong. I got up and smelled the sheets. I about died. I pulled the fitted sheet up and mattress was yellow stained and damp. Yes.. it was fully covered in disgusting odor. I went to the front desk immediately and told them about it. They said we can move you to another room. My 64 year old was already asleep and I did not want to wake him. I asked for extra bedding to pile over the soiled linens. Hoping that would help. I also asked for a discount on our room. At least $50 off. The young man explained to me he would have to ask the manager.
That was the worst night’s rest I have ever had in a motel! The smell was so bad. Nothing like it. It had to be more than just piss! The next morning I asked the young man what did the manager say and he replied the manager was going to call me. The young man did say he went down to the room and I asked him if he sniffed the bed.. he replied he didn’t want to.. he could smell it when he walked in the room!!! He said it was BAD. We had to leave because we were actually on our honeymoon roadtrip. I called the motel after our first break from riding and was told the manager will call me.
Well, guess what?! The MANAGER NEVER HAS CALLED ME!
Absolutely disgusting! Paid $124.82 for a gross, foul smelling bed! What has happened to customer service and doing the right thing. Greed!!!! I will never ever stay at a Knights Inn! And we travel a lot!

Sadly, somebody in an adjoining room felt compelled to smoke weed in thier room a out 5 - 6 times throught the evening and night.

Staff not often available for periods of time. Breakfast was skimp.. not enough variety to choose from.

Very friendly staff; cute country decor; comfortable;?good value!
