- My advice: check your final bill and payments very carefully at this hotel and ask for a clear breakdown of all charged amounts. Double-check everything…

On my last night, I received a final bill of $157. This bill was barely verifiable, as it only listed amounts and no details (e.g., excursion, restaurant, etc.).

This turned out to be wrong. They told me they had canceled the $157 and charged $75 again. Unfortunately, the refund of $157 was NOT actually credited back.

I subsequently reported this to the hotel. I understand that an administrative or payment error can happen, but instead of investigating this further, I was told that the problem lay with my bank.

I received a hard-to-read ticket stating “anulacion,” and I was told that everything was in order.
However, according to my bank, the refund has not been processed.

Heerlijk hotel om even uit te rusten en te wennen aan het tijdsverschil
Pros:

Het was een heerlijk verblijf. Zwemmen, drinken bestellen aan de zwembadbar. Eten was prima voor iedereen. Strand dichtbij, dieren bekijken vanuit je ligstoel. S avonds met een zaklantaarn dieren zoeken p het terrein vooral veel kikkers gevonden.

Cons:

Ze mogen wel wat meer lekkere zoetere cocktails op het menu gaan krijgen maar dat is smaak want ze hadden er een aantal maar allemaal met rum of tequila.

Het was gewoon TOP !!!
Pros:

Het was een prachtig hotel! Het voelt alsof je midden in de jungle verblijft! Overal om je heen zie je dieren, het was echt super !!
Je loopt de weg over en je staat op het gezelligste strand van Puerto viejo! Het ontbijt was ook super!

Tolles Frühstück, schöne Anlage und gaaaannnz viele Tiere
Pros:

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal im Cariblue und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, gut ausgestattet und immer sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist fantastisch und zählt zu den besten unserer 3-wöchigen Reise. Der Pool mit der Bar und den Liegen lädt zum Verweilen ein. Am tollsten sind aber die vielen Tiere: Agutis beim Frühstück, Pfeilgiftfrösche am Morgen, Echsen und Schmetterlinge, Vögel, Brüllaffen und am letzten Tag waren 5 (!!!) Faultiere direkt am Pool. Man konnte auf der Liege liegen und mit den Fernglas die Fautiere und Affen beobachten (Fernglas nur, um sie genauer anzuschauen, 3 Faultiere hingen 5m neben der Poolbar in geringer Höhe rum). Großartig.

Una ubicación genial, rodeada de naturaleza, y especialmente destacable el lugar donde se sirve el desayuno, precioso y con muchísimo encanto, además de un desayuno estupendo, variado y delicioso. ¡Una forma perfecta de empezar el día en Puerto Viejo!

Cons:

Había bastantes arañas en los jardines, algo que puede resultar un poco incómodo, aunque entendemos que estamos en plena naturaleza y que es su hábitat.
