Great hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Rooms are good standard, hotel has been partially refurbished (the dining area and bar) since last time I came.
Would certainly come again, good location for meeting friends and doing business.

A budget hotel which I am pleased to recommend.
Pros:

A regular here. Staff always friendly. Rooms clean. Bed comfortable. I must thank the barman! On the first night I moaned there was rarely real ale in the bar. The following night, there it was on tap, and delicious too. Thanks.

Cons:

Food is often variable. Depends on the chef. Restaurant often quiet. The other Greene King Pub just a few minutes walk away is always packed. There the food is much cheaper and more consistent in quality, and has a better selection of drinks. Maybe the 'powers that be' should reflect on this. You may then find the bar and the Restaurant will become busier and more profitable with a rethink of the menu and prices. I love staying at the Raven and this comment is meant to be helpful rather than a criticism.
