Decent value considering what we paid, close to all amenities in the town.
Pros:

Great location opposite Tewkesbury Abbey, close to all shops (within walking distance). Comfortable bed, room was fairly basic but clean. For what we paid it was ok. Only stayed one night, didn’t eat there. Receptionist very helpful as we arrived early to check in and advise we wouldn’t be back till after 10pm as we were going to Upton Bluesfest. She gave us our keys for later.

Cons:

Sound insulation was poor, this is often a big problem with me. Could hear every word of the woman’s conversation in the next room. I snore so no doubt it wasn’t much fun for her either. No privacy at all. We stayed in the main building, maybe the annexe rooms have better sound insulation, I don’t know.
I wish all hotel rooms could be rated on sound insulation to help me choose better.

Great Hotel in a lovely location
Pros:

Booked here for a 2 night stay for a visit to Tewkesbury. Fantastic old building full of character over looking the Abbey . Rooms are clean and have everything you need for your stay great value for money with friendly professional staff . We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and food was well cooked and tasty and very reasonably priced . There is a car park on site which is so convenient and you get a permit at reception to place in the car for free parking. Had a very enjoyable stay here and would not hesitate to recommend to family & friends . Tewkesbury is a lovely town with lots to see and do and many good pubs and restaurants. Look forward to visiting again and will definitely book the Bell for our stay ..

It ended badly because car was broken into
Cons:

Parking is not guaranteed for guests and if a function is going on you can not park and have to use public car park and your car will get broken into, so be aware of this

Poor.
Pros:

The location and the breakfast was nice and the lady who served it.

Cons:

The worst room I have ever stayed in.. Room 21. It was roasting hot . There was a fan in the room but just circulated the hot air. I think the bathroom was above the kitchen as there seemed to be heat coming from it when I opened the door to use it. Even though the weather was warm it was cooler outside at night but my room just got hotter and hotter . It was cooler in the Hallway. The fixed shower was tiny with a slope at the back of it which was dangerous. The water was always scolding hot even out of the cold tap. I didn’t sleep and tried to open the windows to let a bit of cool in but the windows only opened about 3 inches wide which allowed various flys to enter my room. I’m not sure if it was a bedbug but I had two pinprick bites in my eyelid when I woke up on the first night and my eyelid was swollen and painful. Slept on top of the covers at the other end of the bed after that but could not relax and was knackered for my whole stay. There were no sockets either side of the bed. There was no water or biscuits provided . The bed was lumpy and soft and the pillows cheap foam that were not comfortable. There was parking but the car park sometimes was full. Some of the spaces were very narrow and at an angle. I had to lug my case up alot of stairs to get to the horrible room. I paid a lot for it too and as a genius customer I have paid a lot less for much nicer accommodation elsewhere.

Quick one night stop, great food, friendly staff
Pros:

Lovely old hotel, parking available and a good location. Dinner in the restaurant was really good and the staff were very friendly.
We had a ground floor family room, very basic but everything we needed. It was extremely hot and we couldn't open windows but had been provided a fan which helped a little.

Cons:

Couldn't open windows. No extractor in the bathroom and window was painted shut. Could hear footsteps walking around in the room above in the middle of the night, woke me up.

Well worth a visit
Pros:

Ideal location with car parking. Great for exploring the Abbey and the Severn Ham. Single room was
spacious and small fan that was provided was adequate to deal with the heat. Much more to Tewkesbury that I had realised so I will visit again

Cons:

Bed was slightly too hard
