Staff friendly and helpful, the chef and the food was absolutely 5 star!!
The staff were very welcoming. Our food was very good. The disabled room clean, well equipped, bed and linen cosy.
Maybe the unkempt exterior belied the welcoming and cosy interior.
Great location, nice pub grub
The view out the back could be improved
Easy parking, room & bathroom were clean and the furniture was in good condition. Evening meal (very tasty Indian lamb curry and rice) was served in the bar. Breakfast - options available - full English cooked to order. All staff were very helpful and courteous.

Very enjoyable relaxing stay.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Comfortable, warm, clean and spacious room with all amenities including a fridge.
Evening meal was exceptional and good full English breakfast.
Grounds include a lake with a walk round it and far reaching views will definitely stay again.
We are three mates that was looking for accommodation within 15 mins drive to Shepton Mallet show ground for the classic bike show, having travelled down over 200 miles. We were greeted at 9pm and although the kitchen had closed, they knocked us a meal up and was spot on. It's a cracking pub and our room was in an annexe and had an upper level with two beds and a double on the ground . It was perfect for the three of us.
No complaints at all.
Breakfast was very welcoming and ample to choose from
Love room 21. I worked late, so lots of room, large shower room and very comfy bed.
Staff, room and food was all very good.

Everything from the hospitality, the room and the food were exceptional. I travel to this area for work and were recommended this hotel off of a colleague and it was well worth the stay, 100% recommend and will definitely stay again.
Great for dogs
Staff and room👏
Stair case to the room was very loud under foot.
The room had been cleaned as I had allergies to feathers and any animal furs, so they made sure it was immaculate. I had no trouble during our 3 day stay.Breakfast was brilliant, served by very help staff. Chef accommodated food wants too. When I asked for fish and chips he even made me curry sauce to go with it. Loved everything.
There was nothing we didn’t like. The hotel was so clean and even funny when they ran out of toast nearly one morning, as one table nearly ate it all…🤣. We would come back again. So Thankyou.
