Not so welcome as other Hotels, and dog friendly room was shabby.
Pros:

Breakfast was nice but soon was cold as plates were cold and food was not hot to start with. Because I stayed with my dog I had to eat in the bar area so could not use the buffet area or juice station.

Cons:

Some of the staff were ignorant, I struggled with my bags and opening the doors, but the duty man just looked at his computer screen and ignored me, felt very un welcome.
Was charged a further £30 for a dog friendly room on arrival but it was a shabby room, with ripped lino in the bathroom, fully limescale shower controls that looked black rather than polished. Skirting and walls were marked with splashes. Furniture was OK, bed was hard and uncomfortable so in future I will stay in Travelodge.

As a one night or short-term stopover for exploring the area it's a great choice.
Pros:

As a stopover on a longer journey this was an excellent choice. Pub downstairs (but no noise), excellent breakfast on site, free, secure car park out the back.

Cons:

room a little tired I suppose but it was nice and clean and everything worked. I'm just being picky.
