Not good.
Pros:

Good breakfast and service.

Cons:

Bathroom requires update and the shower was old and dirty.
Received incorrect car park fines and I have not received confirmation in writng that they have been cancelled (I have only received verbal confirmation that they have been cancelled)

Old Inn, kitchen not really good, nice staff
Pros:

Staff, parking free and close, City centre very close

Cons:

Windows in the rooms can not open fully. No aircondition. In the night impossible to cool the room down.
House rool about nö beer for 17 year old guy together with family and dinner.

Fawlty Towers Convenient and just about adequate!

Very good location, friendly helpful staff, good range of drinks available in bar.

Cons:

Very outdated accommodation, both decor plus furniture. I get it’s an old pub but improvement necessary! Bathroom tap, shower screen and sealant falling apart, mould, water pressure inconsistency, both for loo and shower, carpet shrinking away from the walls, didn’t feel clean in areas. Room door didn’t lock properly (1970s)
Not adequate measures taken to accommodate the heatwave ( no air conditioning) small fan supplied not adequate, just about working

Great value, great staff, good food not so good shower
Pros:

Very comfy bed, booked a single room including breakfast extremely good value and a huge choice of breakfast items.

Cons:

Lovely big south facing window but it was prevented from opening more than 2 inches, thankfully a fan was available and the curtains had blackout linings so the room was kept cooler. Shower head setting didn't work so had to call reception, lovely head housekeeping lady came to my help, she couldn't move it either, it was set on hot and had I got under the water I am sure I would have been scalded, had to go to another room that wasn't occupied to use that bathroom. Thankfully that was a possibility as the guest hadn't turned up if the hotel had been full..

Cons:

Not recommended in high temps of Summer as no air-conditioning. I'm sure winter would be lovely. Also got burnt by got water in shower that couldn't be cooled down

Fine for one night
Pros:

Comfortable room. Very hot weather and the room was, as a result very hot. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The electric fan provided was ineffective. The bathroom and plumbing was quite dated although clean and adequate

Great hotel close to town centre
Pros:

As there was 11 of us it was a big order for breakfast but it all arrived the same time
Meal in the evenings were excellent with brilliant service good menu with plenty of choice
The staff were all great and worked very hard

Cons:

The shower in our room was difficult to turn on and off so in need of some WD40!
No other complaints

A welcoming place
Pros:

The staff were so nice, helpful and welcoming. It always makes us feel well disposed to a place when we feel valued as customers.
The pub is a bit tired but the price of the room is very reasonable.
