Needs a lot great deal of work in hot weather
Pros:

Clean Rooms

Cons:

Beer garden closed at 8 pm pub stifling albeit best efforts made to cool . Small patio area closed at 11pm on the hottest day of the year instructed to finish drinks in a stifling bar . Room equally stifling one window did not open the allotted 3 inches

This was are 3rd visit, comfortable room and clean, wouldn't go back if we didn't like it

Great Overnight Stopover
Pros:

Free parking, easy to find. Convenient stop over prior to joining cruise in Southampton.
Good sized room with very comfy bed.
Excellent breakfast, one of the best ever.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Cons:

Would have loved a king sized bet in such a large room.

Hot, muggy and basic
Pros:

Location was ideal, parking not an issue, staff mostly friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Tired feel with grubby hand marks everywhere, very stuffy in room, fan was needed 100% bed was in need of new mattress as mine was lumpy and not very comfortable. Door lock was extremely loose which made it awkward to lock. No sockets near the bedside cabinets was not practical either.

Overall a great place to stay and eat.
Pros:

Booking in was smooth. Room was adequate. Staff very friendly and attentive. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent have been a few times and can highly recommend.

Cons:

Room a bit on the dingy side and the bed was extremely high. The bar ran out of ginger ale, which wasn’t ideal as I that is the mixer I prefer in my drink. Had to swap the a coke mixer, which in my opinion ruins the drink,

Staff and service were EXCELLENT! Rooms need a bit of TLC
Pros:

The staff were all amazing, very friendly, accommodating and helpful! So, thank you all for making us so welcome. (Gold stars for the staff! They were working really hard!)

Dinner was decent...
Breakfast was GREAT!
The beds were really comfy and I slept so well..

Cons:

The rooms were very basic, and dated - and actually, mine smelled rather musty/damp.
Also my TV was on at the wall, and I could see from the red light that it was in standby mode. But it wouldn't turn on. I think the remote battery must have died. Not the end of the world. I read my book. But, little things.

Wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Location to where I was working

Cons:

The room was scruffy and outdated. The shower head leaked when used as the hose was split and water cascaded onto bathroom floor that was stained somewhat, I had to hold shower head in bath to use !!
