The room was almost clean. The main room was clean but the toilet bowl was brown at the sides for the 4 days I was there. The decor was appalling and the whole building is old and in need of a complete upgrade. At the front of the building above the sign there is a tree growing out of the wall.

The room was on the top floor, 3 flights of stairs so not great. Stairs very creaky was conscious of disturbing other guests, but a old building so inevitable. Had difficulty locking/unlocking room (door handle lock definitely needs replacing). Room smelled musty/damp & there's clear evidence there's been leaks at some point as wallpaper peeling & bubbling. There appeared to be a fair few clumps of dog hair on the carpet. Tea coffee on floor under T.V., personally think it's dangerous trying to boil a kettle & pour drinks on the floor. Loo roll holder falling off wall & on a slant & Bathroom floor lino badly stained. The curtains had hooks missing so alot of light came through at dawn & if you tried to draw curtains that are behind the T.V. then the T.V. switches off!! We had no electric the final morning!! Where the room is in desperate need of a refit, it gives the appearance of being dirty, I don't think it was unclean, just desperate for a decent redec & refurb.

Staff not as Frendly as we have experienced before ,and we have stayed for the last 7 years twice a year
Wonder whats the matter .
Also the bathrooms need showers not all people can get into a bath.

One thing that wasn’t working was the fan in the bathroom.

Rooms could do with refurbishment and outside patio could be swept every morning

There was nothing we didn’t like

Everything was on point absolutely no negatives.

It was during the heatwave and the room was boiling - no aircon but a fan was supplied - had to sleep with curtains open with fan at the window to blow cooler air into the room. The mattress protector meant we were both sweating.
