After four hour drive, we found the music very loud on Friday night. We were not able to dine and chat as the music was too loud and there was no escaping it so we ended up going to the pub over the road which was a shame.
Everything was great. Parking good. Lovely bar with entertainment. Rooms comfy. Very nice food
Todo: la habitación, la tranquilidad y la comida del pub.
Nada, todo era excelente.
Friendly staff, good sized room and electric car charging points. Good breakfast.
The loo took an age to fill and you couldn’t flush it again for quite some time.
The sink plug only allowed water to trickle away very slowly.
The headboard vinyl had come away in several places making it look very tatty.
My husband and I booked a 2-night B&B stay either side of a club get-together because of travel distance. The room was comfy and clean and the food excellent. We ate in the restaurant on the first night of our stay, had lunch in the bar and of course the included breakfasts. Overall the food was very good - home cooked on the premises and delicious. Bar food at lunchtime was very good and in the morning there was a good selection of cooked breakfast options as well as the traditional "full English" and cereal/toast/pastry buffet.
It honestly felt like half the front of house team was carrying the other. When we arrived there was nobody on the reception desk and we waited for 10 minutes with another couple wanting to check in. Despite ringing the desk bell several times we ended up having to go into the bar to find someone to check us in.
We didn't have a car with us so on checkin asked if there was a table free in the restaurant for our dinner. We were told yes and though it was busy, when we came down we were found one, given menus and told someone would come to take our order. Then we waited. And waited. After 20 minutes we gave up and went to the bar and ordered there.
Next evening the bar was occupied by a birthday party with live music so we ate elsewhere. Breakfast on the first morning was great, brisk service and very friendly. Second morning the waitress brought us a pot of tea very quickly and left us with the menu. After 15 minutes there was still no sign of her coming back to take our order though I could hear at least three people moving around the bar area. We were on a tight schedule to catch our train in Leicester so my husband went to find someone and eventually we got our food. No idea how long it would have taken if he hadn't.
Good size room, comfortable bed. Pub and restaurant on site. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
I understand the windows can't open far for safety reasons. However, I probably wouldn't stay in warm weather, as there was no air con, and there was very little air coming through the window.
Convenient
It is great that you can stay and eat at the same place it is very convenient for people who are travelling or getting there late
The bathroom is a little outdated but everything works perfectly fine so it's not a problem
Spacious room. Access to restaurant. Quiet. Very comfy bed. Friendly welcoming staff.

Nothing we didn't like all good..
Decor, innovation of ideas around the hotel, great menu, great staff, especially Petra who served our breakfast .
Most enjoyable stay, will stay there again.
Very dark rooms, lighting poor, orange bulbs, no good for us ladies trying to apply our make up. There is a magnify mirror in the bathroom, but you need to be at least 5ft 9, again orange lighting, OK for men shaving after a shower, but humidity spoils ladies hair.
