The Royal is a nonsmoking Grade II listed building and as such has no elevator. The public areas are access friendly.
Barretts restaurant is open 7 days a week and can also be booked for private functions.
There are 2 lower-floor rooms, 6 steps from the garden level and these are not suitable for wheelchair access, or people with severe walking difficulties. Please state at the time of booking if you require a lower-floor room.

Superb location in Ross on Wye, lovely staff who were all unfailingly pleasant and friendly, and a nice room with great view over the River Wye.

All staff were always really helpful - we particularly appreciated the help in storing our bicycles overnight.
The breakfasts exceeded our expectations as did the service at breakfast - very friendly and efficient.
The veranda was a lovely area to sit out in and we enjoyed the view from our room.
Our room was far from the centre and wifi was poor - but when we mentioned it to the team on leaving - they were going to check the system as it had not been a problem reported by others.

The staff are exceptional and the breakfast was superb!
Minor points - bathroom was a little dated and lino could use some maintenance, and the floorboards were quite creaky. This did not matter very much in the grand scheme of a fabulous stay though!

All staff were very friendly and helpful. In particular Carol made our day with her cheery personality and kindness at breakfast. Location is perfect. We will come back.
Nothing disliked -the car park is very good but some spots are a bit tight if you have a big car!
