I have stayed before at the Royal and arranged for my family to come here for my 60th birthday celebration. We enjoyed our stay. Dinner was in the main okay, 7 of the meals were excellent. Breakfast was delicious.
Some of us found the beds comfortable whilst a couple struggled with the mattress firmness or softness.
Staff were lovely and attentive. We enjoyed our stay.
As above, at dinner gravy tasted of washing up liquid and on smelling the jug it smelt heavily of washing up liquid. One of our lasagnes was overcooked.
2 of the party found the beds very firm, whilst one stated it was too soft.
Staff very helpful, cheerful & efficient.
Food was very good, nice hot plates.
Breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice
Location was within walking distance of the town.
Quiet, warm room.
No toilet brush in the bathroom
Staff were absolutely amazing, smily, happy, nothing was too much trouble, room slightly dated in part but did not affect our stay, wonderful view of the river and countryside from.our balcony
Nothing, all really good
Lovely friendly staff .
Nothing .
The wonderful view from the top floor bedroom, which was very comfortable and clean.
The excellent breakfast staff and menu.
The very tight and busy, but understandably so, car park .
The location was excellent, staff were great, very helpful.
The breakfast was great, Carol the waitress was brilliant.....
We were disappointed with the evening meal, basic presentation and small main course, it's a shame as everything else was great.
