The staff were very friendly and helpful. Offered to carry luggage to room. Offered to repair wardrobe doors which wouldn't open.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment as it is looking rather tired in places. Lots of little niggly faults that need repairing.
location was fine
There was no staff around when I came down to eat in the evening I ate elsewhere in the town., my breakfast was not cooked properly, the sauce was cold when it should have been hot. The room windows were in need of a repaint, carpet frayed, bathroom toilet holder not fitted and hanging off. Couldn't get onto the internet.
The quality of the food was very good, both at dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking our bags to our room and providing additional pillows. Bottled water was provided, together with tea and coffee making facilities. There was plenty of free parking.
The menu is very limited for vegetarians and there was no starter or main course for vegans, although options were provided on request. The only milk was full fat.
The bed was advertised as “Large double” but seemed to us to be only a standard double. The shower had very little pressure and there was nowhere to put soap or flannels in it.
As far as we could tell the only sockets available to us in the room were above the bedside table, meaning that we had to boil the kettle there rather than where the water, cup, team etc were.
Paintwork on the window frame was peeling.
I never stayed. They cancelled my booking the day before arrival. They said that they had overbooked. I'd already paid over £200 for my return train fair. They did end up finding me somewhere else to say, which was substandard to say the least.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Nothing laid out, only choice was cooked to order. Cereals, fruit and yoghurt not on menu, but were provided when requested. On arrival restaurant was cold but bedroom was hot.

The property is a beautiful rustic building with wooden beams and that slight wonky feel to it. The property also features a beautiful wooden terrace overlooking a small lake/large pond. I was greeted well by staff who were extremely polite and helpful. Beautifully decorated interior with a unique lantern light in the fireplace.
There was no dinner menu available however a very nice pub just a 5 minute walk away and the staff were very apologetic about the inconvenience so not really too much trouble
Location, beauty, breakfast nice room
Nothing much - but in room 7, the kettle didn't work and in the bathroom, the sink drain needs fixing - doesn't drain away very well
Location
Old and run down. Needs a refurbishment urgently. I arrived after 8pm and my room wasn’t ready, I was given the key to my room to find the bed not remade.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Nice breakfast
Damp smell. Could do with decorating and painting especially in the restaurant side. Very cold at breakfast.
Breakfast options had a great variety of choice and exceeded expectations.
Herbal tea as well as regular in the room.
Returning customer, great location, staff are excellent and attentive.

This was a great little find, location is perfect for easy access into Cambridge. The setting is lovely and very quiet.
A short walk away there is a Co op shop so you can pick up supplies easily. There was plenty of parking available on site too. I didn't have an evening meal but menu prices seemed reasonable and breakfast was nice.
