Really pretty hotel and comfortable.
Breakfast wasn’t good value for money, the service could have been better (albeit they were preparing for a wedding) and paying for the bill on arrival and the breakfast the next morning felt a little unorganised.

The new management have only been there since March but I think the least they could do is remove rubbish from the hotel bedrooms. We were booked in to a deluxe room supposedly . There was a very nice view of the fountain in the river etc. but in the cupboard / wardrobe ( with glass doors ) you could see an old ironing board with burnt marks all over it , odd bedding on the floor, cheap hangers on the floor as well as odd labels. A total mess. There was scrunched up bedding in the pull out drawers of the divan bed and a telephone with a lot of wiring just left on the floor. No table !
The shower was hopeless and the water took ages to drain from the wash basin.

It's such a shame as we were here many years ago and we expected it to be similar to how it was then . I should have looked at more reviews.
Hopefully the new owners will address all these issues and restore the hotel to how it was in the past. It's an old building so we don't expect miracles but cleanliness matters, and even providing soap would help !
Breakfast was exactly what I’d ordered, beautifully presented.
Room very hot, in spite of efficient electric fan, but it was an exceptionally hot night.
A very nice setting for a wedding. The bedrooms would need air-conditioning. The rooms have a portable fan but some rooms are too small for this.
The selection of drinks on tap at the bar were not liked/ popular with the wedding guests.

No supper available as promised. No staff to greet. No internet, at least I couldn’t locate any passcode. Breakfast at 0800 was too late.
We stayed here after our party hosted by Sheene Mill. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was incredible value and the options were more than enough. We stayed in a room which overlooked their beautiful little like which was a delight to wake up to in the morning. The breakfast is held by their stunning decking which left us feeling so very refreshed. It is a delightful place to stay and the new owners are super accommodating and friendly. I could not recommend this place more. We will be returning for their afternoon tea!!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Meals fantastic and staff always on hand to help. We were there to attend a friends wedding. The whole event was great. I would recommend Sheene Mill as a great venue.

Beautiful setting in a lovely village. Used as a wedding venue & I can see why. Recently under new management & the owners are working to improve the room facilities.
Our room was cold and the heating unable to be fixed so an oil filled radiator had to be used (which didn’t heat the en suite shower room). The en suite had 2 missing light bulbs so very gloomy plus shower needed fixing.
All this was mentioned to the manager who was apologetic and said it would be fixed in the future.
