Very comfortable and had a very nice vibe. Staff were excellent
Staff...always welcoming & accommodating g
Nothing
The hotel is well located for Duxford/M11/A10 etc, but for me the welcoming staff and wonderful character of the building itself would make me want to return. The garden at the rear is beautiful.
To be honest I have no gripes and would not hesitate to return.
A nice property with lovely staff. The setting looking out to the back garden is nice. The breakfast was include and was very good.
The room was a bit tatty and in need of some decorating and removal of mould in the bathroom.
Great staff, lovely setting, scrumptious food.
Radiator in our room couldn't turn off - so got a bit hot.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sheene Mill. The location was scenic and peaceful, which made it a very relaxing experience. The setting felt charming and was one of the highlights of the visit.
Great stay!
Location was good , breakfast was really nice , comfortable bed
We had lights working in the room but no power to any sockets , so couldn’t get a drink or charge phones or put the television on, there is no staff after 9pm which we did know so we couldn’t move to a room that had power , would have liked a partial refund got this
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Offered to carry luggage to room. Offered to repair wardrobe doors which wouldn't open.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment as it is looking rather tired in places. Lots of little niggly faults that need repairing.
location was fine
There was no staff around when I came down to eat in the evening I ate elsewhere in the town., my breakfast was not cooked properly, the sauce was cold when it should have been hot. The room windows were in need of a repaint, carpet frayed, bathroom toilet holder not fitted and hanging off. Couldn't get onto the internet.
The quality of the food was very good, both at dinner and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking our bags to our room and providing additional pillows. Bottled water was provided, together with tea and coffee making facilities. There was plenty of free parking.
The menu is very limited for vegetarians and there was no starter or main course for vegans, although options were provided on request. The only milk was full fat.
The bed was advertised as “Large double” but seemed to us to be only a standard double. The shower had very little pressure and there was nowhere to put soap or flannels in it.
As far as we could tell the only sockets available to us in the room were above the bedside table, meaning that we had to boil the kettle there rather than where the water, cup, team etc were.
Paintwork on the window frame was peeling.
I never stayed. They cancelled my booking the day before arrival. They said that they had overbooked. I'd already paid over £200 for my return train fair. They did end up finding me somewhere else to say, which was substandard to say the least.
