Hotel needs a complete makeover but all staff tried to make our stay pleasant.
Pros:

Nothing laid out, only choice was cooked to order. Cereals, fruit and yoghurt not on menu, but were provided when requested. On arrival restaurant was cold but bedroom was hot.

A rustic retreat
Pros:

The property is a beautiful rustic building with wooden beams and that slight wonky feel to it. The property also features a beautiful wooden terrace overlooking a small lake/large pond. I was greeted well by staff who were extremely polite and helpful. Beautifully decorated interior with a unique lantern light in the fireplace.

Cons:

There was no dinner menu available however a very nice pub just a 5 minute walk away and the staff were very apologetic about the inconvenience so not really too much trouble

Old and run down. Needs a refurbishment urgently. I arrived after 8pm and my room wasn’t ready, I was given the key to my room to find the bed not remade.

Would stay again
Pros:

This was a great little find, location is perfect for easy access into Cambridge. The setting is lovely and very quiet.
A short walk away there is a Co op shop so you can pick up supplies easily. There was plenty of parking available on site too. I didn't have an evening meal but menu prices seemed reasonable and breakfast was nice.

Lovely historic setting
Pros:

Melbourn was convenient for our plans. The Mill is an intriguing ancient building. The garden and Millpond setting is delightful. Good parking. Excellent veggie English breakfast. Fresh milk on request and ice. Really good teabags.

Cons:

Room had things that needed fixing and was very warm. Some light pollution, as blind didn't block light and distant traffic noise. My bedside lamp had no where to plug into. Drying hair using hairdryer near mirror was very awkward. Shower gel and shampoo needs a re think (bring your own).

very dissapointing and subsequent booking by colleagues have been cancelled.
Pros:

Restaurant food in the evening was good.
Staff were polite.

Cons:

Arranged breakfast for 0730 - no staff arrived until 0740 unfortunately were on a tight schedule so had to leave without breakfast.
Rooms, Bar and Restaurant were very cold and uninviting.
Half the bulbs in bathroom were not working.
No Cups or Tea Bags on tray in room so had to request these.
Dirty carpets in room.
Poor quality bedding.

Not easy for commercial customers
Pros:

I booked this hotel for a colleague. There was a mix up with the payment of the invoice, so I tried to contact site on several occasions to be told that I couldnt be helped until after 5pm, which doesnt help those customers whose accounts departments work 9-5pm. It took several attempts and some frustrating phone calls to eventually pay.
