Beds were comfortable and nice duvets Some friendly staff
The property feels very tired throughout, with dated décor and poorly maintained paintwork on the windows and doors, much of which is visibly flaking. There are scuffs and marks across many of the walls and doors, giving the overall impression that the hotel is not being properly maintained.
The carpets were dirty throughout and the rooms themselves felt dark and uninviting. In our room, two of the lamps were broken, further reinforcing the sense that basic maintenance is being overlooked.
Breakfast was also disappointing. After the first morning, we chose to eat elsewhere despite having already paid for it, as the quality did not meet expectations.
There were also concerning safety issues during our stay. The fire alarm sounded for approximately 15 minutes one day, yet no staff made any attempt to instruct guests to evacuate. I was the only person who went to the assembly point, while others continued eating in the dining room, which was almost comical.
Additionally, the room contained an old-style heater with an exposed heating element, which felt like a potential fire hazard.
