Pros:

Comfy bed, nice breakfast, helpful staff, close to town centre

Cons:

Lack of AC in hot weather. Bathrooms need an upgrade, clean just a bit old

Pros:

Great location, my room was very far and high, incredibly hot.
Plus - I had a fan in the room.
Negative - window opens only a little. If the window opened - can't draw the curtains. Slept with a window opened and curtains opened - no blinds to protect privacy at night and to keep the sun out during the day. Easy to do. Why not done???

Bon séjour dans un hôtel typique pendant le festival Jane Austen
Pros:

L’hôtel est superbement placé au cœur de la ville. Le décor est typique et dans l’ambiance que nous étions venu chercher pour une visite des lieux occupés jadis par Jane Austen.

Cons:

Nous sommes tombés en pleine période de canicule dans la région et les chambres n’étaient même équipées de ventilateurs, donc très inconfortables à ce point de vue.

Very comfortable and enjoyable.
Pros:

Considering the age of the building in which the hotel is situated it was clean, attractively decorated, with well appointed rooms and a very comfortable bed.
My request for a low floor room for my elderly mother was provided without any fuss.
The dinner, drinks and breakfast we had at the hotel were very good and excellent value for money.

Breakfast a little over cooked. Also ordered the poached eggs on toast but it wasn’t as discribed on menu ,came without the bacon and hollandaise sauce. But perhaps I should have mentioned the whole thing.

I am glad to have stayed with this hotel.
Pros:

Beautiful location, lovely sleeping, bathing, and eating facilities.

Cons:

The staff, in general, was new (recent hires) to the hotel. The bar didn’t have all of the ingredients on the menu and so cocktails were unavailable.

Cons:

For the price, I would have expected the breakfast to be included, but didn't mind paying it as an extra. Room could have done with a mirror on the wall somewhere instead of being in the wardrobe, so struggled a bit with no mirror
