Beautiful traditional pub and hotel. Very friendly staff. Polite, professional and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a meal on arrival and breakfast the next day.
Squeaky floorboards! But to be expected in an old building.
Car parking, all good
Not much
Ubicación inmejorable con plaza de parking. Cenamos muy bien en el restaurante del propio hotel. Y el personal muy agradable. La habitación algo anticuada pero muy amplia y limpia.
Nada.
The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, they were welcoming and incredibly helpful. We were originally in room 17 and the wind was up causing the pub sign outside the window to swing and squeak continually. I asked if there was any chance of moving to another room and one was found for us immediately, with no fuss. We were so grateful.
The room was spotless and comfy. Dinner was delicious. We had a lovely stay.
Nothing, everything was great.
Loved the quirkiness of the room.
Clean with a comfortable bed.
Good bar and restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent car parking area.
Room was very warm given the current climate.. could only marginally open one window..fan was inadequate.
Attractive property. Welcoming and helpful staff
Brilliant location
No complaints whatsoever.
Convenient location with private car park
Attention needed to bedroom curtains, i.e. torn hem and poorly hung.
Steep stairs!
ALL GOOD.
Location , cleanliness
No
The inn was quaint. Many steep stairs were a drawback and lack of AC was expected but missed. High Street was fun to walk and view shops, etc.
Access to White Horse Hill and Avebury was great.
A lift and AC
Supper was good value and Breakfast was tasty
A lot of very steep stairs for a couple in our late 70s .
Location perfect, staff friendly, good food and free parking on site very important.
The room was pretty unbearable in the midst of another heat wave - this is difficult for old buildings and it's hard to see what they could do about it. I stay here several times a year, and it seemed less together than usual this time. I stayed 2 nights and my room was not cleaned and re-stocked after the first night. My breakfast egg was not cooked as instructed and had to be sent back to the kitchen. My whisky with soda order at the bar was served in a half-pint glass. These are issues with staff shortage and training, which I know haunt the hospitality industry right now.
We love it and go as many times a year as we can
Gillian and her staff are ver good and helpful
Steps down to the assisted room
Reception and all staff friendly and efficient. Food is good.
Very hot in rooms as there was exceptional heatwave and its an old building without aircon but we were provided with fans.
Loved everything! Roomy room, lovely staff, situation and the bar, grub! Car parking a bonus.Breakfast was superb,
No-we loved it and didn't want to leave
