The staff is friendly, but they deliberately put us in the room with NO view, eventhough the occupancy is low, and many rooms are available.
I only like HOTEL BREAKFAST. Room price including the breakfast. Hotel offered variety of different foods that vary each day. All the staff were helpful dan friendly. I rented a car and they provide free parking.
When I made a booking I mentioned I need room with TWIN BED, but assigned room was deluxe queen size bed. They did not see the message and don't bother to check the messaged. No point of communicating UNLESS maybe call hotel directly. Hotel location was great, but the facilities were poor. Room had water heater, but no hot water came out. Towel that supposed to be WHITE in colour became yellowish. NO hand towel. NO HAIR DRYER. When I requested extra towel, extra towel MUST PAY. Room provide mini dry kitchen but NO UTENSILs. Swimming pool look nice, but the water a little murky and always had dead insect floating especially at the kids pool. There were many leaves inside the swimming pool, as you swim occasionally the leaves touched our body that startled us. In few places, floor uneven, so watch the steps while walking. If only they could maintain the facilities well... with the good service and great location that they have now, it would be perfect and it can be one of the most favorite hotel in BALIKPAPAN.

They call me Papa, after many stays they are Family now.. in the restaurant they order my food, papa cannot have this..not good for you..the girls are my Daughters now so i go buy chocolate bars for them for taking care of me.. the rooms are all spacious, large comfortable bed, couch, big screen tv, many channels, the bathroom is big enough to move around in comfortably.. there is kitchenette in the room, Large refrigerator, not mini fridge.. the pool is large, clean and great fun… the cake shop has great deserts..ENAK !!! the guys at parking entrance are very nice and friendly, finally trained them…call me Tom..not sir.. the front desk staff is great.. very polite, Efficient and friendly.. Housekeeping staff does a great job also.
the Woman who runs the hotel, Mami Vika is very pleasant and loved by her staff. for me when i am in Balikpapan this is literally Home !

Food
This hotel has a strategic location, my sister stayed here back in 2017 and was quite impressed by this property? however, this time we can see that the hotel has been under maintained, you can see the furniture in the room are worn out and lack of cleanliness e.g dust all over the lamp case and coffee table, yellow stained toilet seat, stained on the linen and the curtain. This hotel has lots of potential however needs lots of improvement on the Housekeeping side. I worked in the hotel myself, in my opinion the listed price isn't match the condition of the room.
The few things that saved this hotel from my 1 star review are the breakfast (lots of variety and good taste), the pillow (firm and comfy) and the attentive staff. You also need to pay attention on the sofa, due to the material of the sofa and probably lack of air circulation it might invested with either bugs or mites, I got itch when I sit on the sofa and when I reported to the Front Office they stated they will do treatment however when the staff came I realized that the treatment is to cover the sofa with new linen not some kind of spray or hot steam.
Kindly improve your maintenance and housekeeping procedure.
