The location was perfect for what we had to do. Everything was within walking distance. The room was very pleasant, comfortable, clean and modern decor. The staff always friendly, from the front desk when you arrive to the managers when needing assistance or answering questions about property.
Especially want to thank Manager Mr. Mateusz Gosztyla hotel manager, he went above and beyond his duties to assist my wife and elderly family members to making sure that we were well taken care of and that our 3-day stay at the W Hollywood would be a memory that we will never forget. Mr. Gosstyla from the moment we arrived showed nothing but professionalism, hospitality and attention to detail.
A great manager sets the tone for the entire hotel and staff.

I will get straight to the point here. The rooms are nice, the location is good (and this is the end of the good). NOW the worst... the service is really really bad, horrible service actually. They also add 18% automatic tip which is ridiculous when the service is horrible. I don't know if that is the reason the service to be so bad, because their staff knows that they will get a tip anyway so they can treat you like trash. Waiting 30 minutes for someone to bring your coffee is crazy (and I had to ask twice for it). The attitude of the waiters is astonishing. The food is expensive and below mediocre. We booked thru American Express and we were supposed to get 100 credit and they didn't apply that to our bill, also was missing the complimentary credit for the parking. It's been a nightmare dealing with these people. I did complain to American Express though.

A great hotel for tourists who want to look around Hollywood Boulevard. Super nice rooms, friendly staff and an excellent roof top pool.
The negatives were I was not informed about the destination fee credit (for food or beverage) that I only discovered when I completed a satisfaction survey and they would credit my bill when I contacted them later to explain. $8 + tip also seems high for a regular coffee, but hey, guess that's Hollywood.

My stay at the W Hollywood was fantastic. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the customer service is first class. They treat every guest as a VIP and take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and safe. There was a bit of miscommunication with the upstairs pool as they had an event that weekend, so it was closed for the guests. The hotel manager Alyssa Wallin and her staff went the extra mile to remediate the situation and did everything they could to accommodate us. While my family was not able to swim during our stay, I really appreciated the time and effort Alyssa and her staff put in to help us out. You can tell that everyone in this hotel makes every effort to ensure that the guests at this hotel have a five star experience.
Clean and good looking
While I booked a room with breakfast included, I was refused to get this service at the hotel and instead I was offered a $60 credit.
I loved the rooftop restaurant and pool. I also loved the location across from the Pantages.
Stay away!!! Bad service. And breakfast will cost you 100usd if you are stupid enough to eat og drink anything
I booked room and paid a 100usd extra for breakfast for 3 days, witch turned out to be a 60 usd breakfast credit for a breakfast that will cost you a least 100usd pr day. Its a scam

We checked in on June 12, 2026, and checked out on June 13, 2026, at W Hollywood.
The hotel was amazing! Our room was wonderful, with a comfortable couch and a well-stocked minibar. The dining experience was excellent, and the music at the bar was very enjoyable. The pool was beautiful, and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Everything was wonderful, and the location is convenient with many attractions nearby. We had a great mother-and-daughter getaway and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
W Hollywood is my new favourite hotel in LA. While service at W hotels can be hit or miss depending on the city, the staff at the Hollywood location are incredibly professional, helpful and seem genuinely very happy. Any request I had was fulfilled within 10 mins, which is a record for any American hotel.
My suite was spotless, spacious and equipped with plenty of towels and robes. The bathroom had more than enough space for me to scatter my toiletries and hairdryer.
One of my favourite thing about this hotel is the gym, which was equipped quite well, and I also enjoyed Cafe Goldie. While their avocado on toast was kind of miserable and tiny, their breakfast hash was amazing.
I was initially concerned about the noise levels at this hotel based off of previous reviews, but I didn’t find it too bad, and I’m an incredibly light sleeper. However, I did ask for a room on the quietest side of the hotel. The rooms, unfortunately, are not noise proof and you will hear people having fun next door 😂
The location is ideal if you want easy access to Griffith observatory and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s not my favourite location given how busy it is in Hollywood proper, but I’ll definitely stay again given how much I liked this hotel.
