A beautiful hotel which would benefit from attention to detail.
Pros:

Beautiful building, lovely room, friendly staff.

Cons:

Navigation around the buildings was a nightmare, shared by many other guests. Very poor and confusing signposting. Location of the multiple lifts not clear. Whilst the bar menu was very good, the restaurant menu less so.

Bel endroit pour un séjour d'exception.
Pros:

Bel hôtel, dans un très bel endroit (un palace du 18ième siècle tout de même). Les chambres (très confortables, lits "hors gabarit" ) se trouvent dans l'ancienne minoterie attenante, parfaitement restaurée et aménagée. Piscine intérieure, sauna, hammam... Vue directe sur le Douro, beaux jardins devant. Petits déjeuners très variés et bons. Pour finir: mention spéciale pour la qualité des cocktails au bar, qu'on a pas envie de quitter...

Cons:

L'absence d'étagères dans la salle de bain rend la disposition des affaires de toilette un peu difficile.

Edifício histórico bonito, bons empregados, mas com comodidades a precisar de atenção.

Os empregados eram muito atenciosos e prestáveis. O edifício também é bonito.

Cons:

Mesmo sabendo que o edifício é antigo e deve exigir muita manutenção - e isso encarece - acho que as comodidades não eram assim nada de especial. Chuveiro no quarto quase sem pressão. Ar condicionado funcionava mais ou menos. Isolamento dos quartos não era nada de especial (acordar Domingo de manhã com o som de um aspirador não foi muito agradável). Os elevadores eram poucos e pequenos. Enfim. Acho que precisava de umas obras, não me pareceu que fossem instalações de 5 estrelas.

Hôtel de charme avec petit déjeuner superbe
Pros:

Le charme de l'hôtel et son histoire, le personnel, la vue sur le fleuve. Le petit déjeuner était au top!

Cons:

Comme l'hôtel est un peu loin de la ville (4kms environ), il faudrait une rotation de la navette (il n'y a qu'un aller à 11h le matin et un retour à 18h !) pour déposer les clients en bas de la ville (au pont Luis I).
Il serait aussi bien que l'hôtel ait des cartes à jouer ou autre jeu de société pour les jours pluvieux.
