We enjoyed Rouen and would recommend Hotel Paulette for a short stay.
Pros:

Very good location, an easy short walk to the centre and walkable from the station. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Free hot drinks and snacks offered in the dining room. Very good breakfast. Room was clean with attractive modern decor.

Cons:

The room would be too small for a longer stay as there is little space for luggage.

Pros:

We were just a few minute's walk to the Cathedral. The Manager recommended Brasserie Paul for dinner, and it was excellent- right in view of the Cathedral and pedestrian zone. Food was excellent - we went there twice!
Our room was quite small, but extremely well appointed and spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast had quality and varied offerings. We also enjoyed the other guests during our two night stay.
