Hillgrove Hotel

Nice walking path adjacent to hotel.
We had a sauna in the late afternoon which was welcomed.
Our room was over the gym which was a bit noisy spa consideration when booking your room.

It was a get away for me and the wife paid for by our son, daughters and daughter-in-law

Our room was clean but very dated . Bathroom was modern, clean & well equipped . Hotel itself was busy, food & staff was good . Enjoyed our stay .

Room was poor tattered rug and very few amenities. There was so much noise coming in from the corridor.

Excellent facilities. Very polite staff. Good food, good music.
We found this hotel to be one of the best we have ever stayed. We are happy to recommend the Hillgrove Hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. Five stars all day long

Beautiful hotel, room was a great size for family of 4
Swimming pool is great but they let too many people in one of the days u couldn't swim it was so packed.
Good selection for breakfast but my kids not so happy that both mornings the pancake machine was out of order.
Not a lot to do in Monaghan town but hotel is great for little kids for the kids club/cinema etc

Only thing I didn't like was the stream room was out off order down at the pool.

The hotel was first class,and the only complaint i have was the black stains at the reception area,it takes away from the rest of the hotel which is spotless.

Average hotel at best. Definitely not a 4 star as rated. Repairs needed to round seating area at front, skirting in breakfast dining room needing replaced vadly and flaking paint in room. On hotels. com receipt, stated check-in was 3pm but told when we got to hotel it was 4pm and our room was not ready. Staff friendly enough.

Clean hotel with big rooms and great food. Just a short walk from the town centre. Nice gym and pool on site.

Nice hotel albeit rooms a bit tired and could do with a refurb. Overall a decent experience and nice people.

Reception staff a bit miserable but the restaurant and all others were very friendly and hospitable

Very clean just reckon breakfast should be served up to 10.30 every day instead of just weekends

Had previously stayed in hillgrove with family. Had another wonderful stay. Pool brilliant for children. Food amazing. Thanks again for another wonderful stay

Off beaten path.

Very clean. Maybe overpriced but it was crazyweek...need toalert people that festival is in town. Traffic was nuts. No restaurants nearby
