Lion d'Or Paris Hotel

DIisappointiing stay despite a good location.I chose this hotel for its good location and what seemed to be a reasonable price .Unfortunately my experience did not live up to my expectations Dur to late check we were too tired to inspect the room carefully.During our sleep we woke up with some itching sense which led us to inspect the room carefully and found that the carpet was stained dirty which made the room unhygenic. The next morning I requested to chang the room but rejected because no available room.Moreover superior double room I booked was 15 square meter but felt much smaller with an awkward layout that made space feel vey uncomfortable. The stay was unpleasant.

The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. They tried to make our stay with our baby daughter as comfortable as possible through a positive atmosphere all around. The location of the hotel is in a strategic position, very close to the Louvre. The noise levels were minimal because the hotel is located in a secondary path.

The location was very central. The room was very clean and well-kept. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel is in a great location, very close to the Louvre and walkable to de Isle de Cite (Notre Dame). There are also great restaurants nearby. The room was clean with good beds and airconditioning. It was small (as expected in the middle of Paris) but very well-apportioned and not at all cramped. It has a little fridge to keep a few drinks cool and a clean bathroom. We received precisely made beds and clean towels every day. The dtaff was increibly friendly abd helpful, they assisted us in getting taxis twice (which arrived within minutes and they assisted when we could jit get our electrical plug converter to work - they had several different kinds on loan. Breakfast was an extra fee but worth it for the convenience and it was a very nice Fench breakfast with croissants, freshly baked breads, lunchmeats, several kinds of delicious jams, egg quiche and fresh fruit as well as good coffee. The location and service were excellent, ar a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Lion D'Or.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. From the moment we were greeted at check-in, it was a pleasant experience. The room, in the adjacent building, was so charming and really made us feel like we had our own little apartment. I have to note that the smell in the foyer and stairwell was incredible. The room was clean and so well thought out, with the perfect layout and storage for my family. The hotel is in walking distance to so many attractions. Also, when I left an item in the room after check-out, I was immediately contacted. I really appreciated the hospitality and thoughtfulness. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Location was amazing. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (and speak excellent English). Nice breakfast room and buffet were very nice. Rooms are small but efficient and comfortable for a few days. Shower and bed are good. Nice that you could get coffee and water throughout the day.

Great location, good room allocation, clean room, good buffet style breakfast in a well placed central dining area and friendly receptionists.
Would come again.

I found 1 of the receptionist exceptional -when 2 Uber drivers could not complete the hotel pickup for return to Gare Du Nord station due to local roadworks; She went out of her way to get us on a taxi from rank, just in time for train departure.
Only feedback to the hotel would be to let departing know of local roadworks and recommend local taxi rank.

We had a wonderful stay, the location was perfect. Close to all the main sites in Paris.
The staff are extremely friendly and would recommend the Lion d'Or for your stay in Paris. :)

The Hotel & Residence du Lion d'Or is located within easy walking distance to the Louvre and at least two metro stops. We were able to get everywhere we needed to go during our 4-night stay. There are lots of places to eat within a 15-20 minute walk, and if you need any essential personal items while you're in Paris, there are pharmacies and small grocery stores within easy walking distance.

The atmosphere of the hotel is quaint and welcoming. The staff greeted us professionally and answered all of our questions. If you need a taxi to go somewhere, don't hesitate to ask the front desk staff to help you schedule one. We used this service three times while we were there, and every time, the taxis were at the door within 2 minutes of the time they said they would be there.

Please note that if you have a lot of luggage or large suitcases, you may need to carry your bags up the stairs or use the very small elevator one person at a time. This is not a large hotel with multiple banks of large elevators. Our room was very clean and had air conditioning, which was greatly appreciated during the 90+ degree days we encountered during our stay.

As I mentioned above, the hotel has a quaint inn-like feel. Because of this and the building it is in, the only amenity you'll find is a sitting area where you can eat your breakfast or gather with friends to talk about everything you saw during the day. If you're driving (which I highly discourage for any non-Parisians), you will NOT find parking at this location. You should seriously consider taking a taxi, the metro, or a hired transport to get to the hotel.

Overall, we highly recommend the Hotel du Lion d'Or. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the location is excellent if you want to see a lot of the high-interest items in the central part of the city.
