Very good location. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Rooms were very small and some facilities in them did not work (towel racks did not heat up) or worked only sporadically (air conditioning did not work consistently in one of the 3 rooms we used).
Top Lage, gute Ausstattung, empfehlenswertes Restaurant.
Good breakfast
Parking space little bit hard to find
Good location in the city center. The staff in the breakfast room and at the reception were nice and friendly, except for one older man who seemed a bit reserved. Parking is available at the train station across the street (within a 5-minute walk) for 2,50€ per day, with a ticket provided by the hotel. There are also about five parking spaces reserved for hotel guests in a side street near the hotel for 5€ per day, but they were usually full.
The rooms need to be renovated. The bathroom was in a very bad condition. Worn-out doors. There was a lot of dust on the ladder radiator, which had clearly not been cleaned for months. I think the management should check the cleaning more carefully. There was mould and limescale on the shower door. The shower hose was broken, so much of the water did not go into the shower. The basin tap was blocked, so the water barely flowed and sprayed everywhere. I think such issues should be reported by the housekeeping staff, as they must notice them during cleaning, and the management should ensure quick repairs. I agree with one guest’s comment that this is not a 4-star standard.
The staff in the café were very slow. We waited a long time before someone noticed us, even though there were only three other occupied tables. The cocktails tasted more like virgin drinks. After we finished, nobody came for about 20 minutes to ask if we wanted something else or pay. In the end, we went to the bar to pay, and again we had to wait longer time for someone.
The second day was better. We got water and a small snack with the cocktails, but we were thinking about why we did not get the same on the first day. It probably depends on who made the drinks.
One more thing, which is of course not the hotel’s fault - be ready for noise from the nearby church. The bells ring every 15 minutes in the evening. This bell is still relatively quiet, but the long ringing around 7 o’clock was much louder.
