We arrived from Tashkent as a family of four — first time in London, first day. At check-in I told the receptionist exactly that: whatever room you give us will shape my family's first impression of this city. She took it seriously.
We got a family room with a welcome box of sweets, a proper walkthrough of breakfast and the pool, printed instructions, and dial 0 for anything else. When she offered the eco programme — cleaning every third day — and I explained we don't drink alcohol, she swapped the bottle of wine for two £10 restaurant vouchers without making it a discussion.
Breakfast runs 07:00–10:30 and 09:00–10:00 really is the peak; she warned us, we overslept anyway, and found a queue. Even then it was handled well: an older gentleman meets every guest at the door, asks your room number, holds the line and seats you in turn — three mornings, always smiling, and by day two he recognised us.
The family room is smaller than the name suggests — a little tight for four. The welcome made us stop noticing.
One thing I'd genuinely ask the hotel to change. There is nothing at breakfast for Muslim guests: no halal marking, no separate menu, not even a line on the buffet saying which meat is which. There's a Bible in the room and no Qur'an. We don't expect special treatment — but a small label would have saved us guessing at every dish for three mornings.
A note on our second stay, after a weekend in Edinburgh. The hotel held all our suitcases in storage while we were away, and made us lunch boxes to take when we left before breakfast opened — both genuinely useful, neither difficult for them to arrange. But the return was less carefully prepared than the arrival: no welcome package this time, and although the room was booked as a family room the sofa bed hadn't been made up. We didn't wait for housekeeping, we just went out into the city.
We'd come back. We're already planning to.
Location was great, we were able to walk everywhere. Plenty of restaurants close by and a view of Big Ben from the hotel. Staff were amazing, our little one was sick upon arrival and they were very helpful in the stressful situation, helping us clean him up and check in earlier. Buckingham palace was within walking distance but would recommend a pram for little ones.
Otel konumu güzeldi.
Bazı çalışanlar oldukça ilgidizdi.son gün emanete bıraktığımız 5 valizi 4 olarak teslim ettiler.ve ben ısrar etmesem hiç umursamadılar.içiçe koyduğum birkaç karton çantayı alıp başka yere koymuşlar.boş bile olsa ben ne verdiysem onu teslim etmeniz gerekir.ısrar edip arattım ve buldurdum.
Great location.
Staff very attentive.
Food was good, and service was excellent.
Received a complimentary bottle of wine, chocs and sweets as it was my friend’s 60th Birthday.
Room was comfortable with all the extras which would be expected.
Tbh I cannot think of anything.
I love this hotel! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. My friend and I were in cosplay for the evening and apart from the security guard when we tried to get back in (possibly understandably, but what he thought we were going in for I do not know) everyone was very friendly and chill about it.
There’s nothing wrong with this hotel. It’s fantastic!
Great central location, near all the landmarks and train stations.
Service was great, had an issue with the keycard and was sorted out promptly. Very clean and nice view.
Location
Curtains had gross stains on them even after waiting a few hours for room to be ready, elevators don't work right - press the down button and elevator going up stops, feels impersonal, outdated decor, slow check in process.
Decided to have a long weekend here, we weren't disappointed. Even though the hotel was busy, the staff were very good, right from check-in (thanks Abdul J) all the way to check-out. The organisation during busy breakfast periods was excellent.
Great location, once back in the hotel it feels a lot more relaxed, than the busy London streets just outside the windows.
