Disappointingly average
Pros:

We were disappointed after reading such rave reviews. The property is tired and lacking atmosphere - it is a conference venue which has lost the ambience of his historic past and the inherent beauty of the building has not been maintained. Our duplex room was indeed very spacious, but the lighting is poorly designed, and the furniture uncomfortable and random, so the space is hard to use sensibly. The bathroom has old fittings and plain white tiles with a fluorescent light over the sink. Breakfast was fine but not as good as, say, a Valk hotel. Our room was in an annex which was not very castley - the courtyard looks like a 1990s: holiday park hotel. It could have been a lovely stay at a lower price with less inflated expectations.

Hotel op een prachtige locatie, maar gedateerd en te duur voor wat het biedt.

Ik had meer verwacht van de hotelkamer gezien de pittige prijs. Het meubilair was oud en beschadigd. En de hygiene liet te wensen over.
Toilet was niet volledig schoon en we troffen haren aan in de douche. Tenslotte was er niet overal gestoft.

Split level kamer en dus gezamenlijk gebruik huiskamer . Hadden we misschien over heen gekeken maar qua discretie wat minder
