Location and having the restaurant close
Caves Beach is a great location. The bungalows were fun over the wetland. It felt luxurious!
We would have appreciated a door on the toilet.
I absolutely love the vibe the moment I walk into the room. For some reason, I just can't stop smiling! The room is airy and spacious, with a beautiful open-plan design that makes it feel so relaxing and inviting.
The view is amazing, overlooking a wetlands pond with a lovely water fountain and the ocean in the distance. Every now and then, you might even spot waterbirds or ducks playing on the grassy area across the pond, which adds a lovely touch of nature to the experience.
Another bonus is having a pub and bar right on your doorstep, making it so convenient to enjoy lunch or dinner without having to go far. The location is also close to Cave Beach, where you can capture the magical sunrise from inside the cave. It's such a special experience!
Honestly, I haven't found anything to complain about so far! I'll pay closer attention during my next stay, but I'm already looking forward to coming back for another staycation.
I did a solo getaway in one of the ocean bungalows and it was amazing. Long weekend so I paid a bit more than usual rate but it was worth it. Bath, bed, shower head are all huge. Nice pool (although quite cold in early Oct) beautiful quiet beach less than one min walk. Restaurant on site was decent. Loved hearing the frogs, birds, ocean, so relaxing. Really nice complimentary toiletries incl moisturizer.
Not that it mattered as I was on my own, but the no toilet door thing would definitely be an issue if I stayed with a partner so I understand why so many ppl mention it in the reviews. No microwave in the room or fresh milk. The thermostat is not adjustable so it’s either freezing or off. I chose off. There’s even a fake AC remote on the wall, weird. Needs a separate bin in kitchenette for recyclables - everything goes to a landfill bin at this resort, sadly.

The Bungalow was well decorated and quite large. The bed was comfortable.
The air conditioner kept changing back to cold after I'd changed it to hot. Same temperature but the symbol kept changing by itself. Tv

Hotel style kitchen (mini fridge and kettle), a bbq on the deck would be nice
