Perfect location and picturesque
Pros:

Location, all the staff were polite and obliging,
Also unexpectedly very picturesque

Cons:

Could have been better with air conditioning
and a little less noise from the motor which I think were the kitchens extractors

It was very hot and we could only open the window slightly. Fan provided but didn't work properly.

Pros:

The hotel was in a really good location, staff were brilliant. Only problem was that it was the hottest day of the year and no AC!

The hotel does need an update and add ac to the rooms, plus a lift.

Pros:

Very friendly staff, a nice room, spacious for a single, with everything I needed... a very good sized bathroom with a bath & shower over. Lovely views from the windows. Plenty of parking & stunning views from the hotel in general.

Cons:

A very creaky floor...! My worry was that anyone in a room below would be seriously disturbed 😳 as I was up very early!! my hope was that it was the bar or a public space below... 🤔

We would definitely stay at Rising Sun again.
Pros:

Our stay at Rising Sun was very good. We enjoyed the property, staff, dinner, and breakfast. It was close to the Cotswold Way, which we were hiking.

I hope to be back there for the local walking festival next year..
Pros:

Food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Rather cold on the first night, fine thereafter. Clearly popular with walkers and with locals, which is always a good sign.

Cons:

Signage confusing at car park entrance. Cooked breakfast too long under hot lamp. No Abbot Ale.

Very comfortable Greene King pub/restuarant with rooms
Pros:

Friendly, helpful staff; outstanding location and views; good inexpensive restuarant and breakfast; comfortable bed; 2pm checkin & 11am checkout; easy access to Cleeve Hill via footpath at back of hotel- they do lunch packs for walkers!

Cons:

For accessible info only- the hotel is on a hill, so lots of stairs inside.
