WE ENJOYED OUR STAY HERE VERY MUCH. IN FACT IT WAS PERFECT! THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND EXTREMELY WELL LOCATED, JUST A STEP OUT OF THE BACK DOOR TO THE OLD CITY. THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND ARRANGED A TOUR FOR US TO TRAFNIK THAT WAS A HIGHLIGHT. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN. WE LOVED THE FACT THAT IT WAS A FAMILY-RUN HOTEL.
This is a really nice, small, charming hotel on the edge of Sarajevo's old town. The proprietors are friendly and the atmosphere is personable. Comfy, clean, and just as described.
Excellent friendly staff. Great room and excellent location.
Hotel in a great location for popping into old city. While room was typical European compact, it had everything we needed. Breakfasts also fine. What sets Konak apart is an incredibly warm, helpful staff that cannot do enough for guests. They arranged 2 private guided tours that were outstanding, at our convenience and very modest cost, helped get my car parked, carry luggage, etc. Free parking a nice feature if needed but spaces are a challenge as is unloading bags from car out front. Could not see getting an SUV sized vehical in one.
My flight was delayed due to inefficiency of Croatian Airways and the hotel staff went out of their way to help me i had the decency to phone them from Zagreb airport so they wouldn't wait for me until the next flight .
What a great little place to stay in Sarajevo. Clean, tidy, comfortable and very good value for money. Would come back again and recommend to others. Based in the old town, it is the perfect location for tourists. The food nearby is amazing - ask the guys working in the hotel for a recommendation. They couldn't have done enough for us. Booked personal tours for us around Sarajevo and shared some of their experiences of the war with us. They were even able to accommodate us for another night when our departing flight was cancelled. Only tip would be to skip their breakfast - it is very basic and there are so many affordable, local dishes to try nearby instead. Brilliant!
Absolutely amazing service, very friendly atmosphere and great surrounding area. Highly recommended!
The hotel is at a great location and the price is good, the decor is intent to resemble Bosniak culture.
The breakfast is really not that terrible. The people at the front desk are super nice and helpful.
However.... there were issues with the cleanliness
There was a cuckroach in the bathroom, the sheets were dirty.
Right in the heart of the city. Hotel staff is very warm and helpful. The facility is a bit older, but in good clean condition.
The hotel is conveniently located in the old town where lots of museum, mosques, catherals , eateries and shops are. All are within walking distance.
Staff were very helpful during our stay, organising a private tour and transfers to the eastern bus station. Breakfast was plentiful and good access to the old town from the rear entrance. God value for money
Overall a great location! Right in the heart of Baščaršija... as in right in the center of it so that is a big plus. The hotel itself it small so reception the breakfast area and the elevator are what comprises of the ground floor. The free breakfast wasn't too impressive and very simple (coffee, yogurt, bread etc) with the dishes from previous patrons laying around not having been bussed. The rooms are very cozy and nice. Would consider staying here again as the price and location are good.
Stayed only one night. Staff was very efficient and did their best to me us feel comfortable.
Small rooms and you can hear the noise of the street.the heating was so high that we need to open windows.breakfast bad.best points the location and kind people at reception.
Just location, thru hotel back door, you are right in tne old town.
Just steps from the Old Town, and most other sights in Sarajevo. This is a friendly and inviting hotel with helpful staff. Definitely would stay again if I'm ever back in Sarajevo.
We stopped here as a last night in Belgrade. It is a long way from the tourist parts and requires a taxi ride. Also it is in the 2400 dinar zone to the airport. The first hotel we stayed in was only 1800. Having said all that, it was clean, good service and had excellent air conditioning that worked, which is rare in Europe. We had a very good nights sleep before our long flight home.
Nice hotel in a great location. Just steps away from the old town.
The hotel is steps from Old Town and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I worried a bit about noise as my room was on the first floor, but it was not a problem. The rooms are large and very comfortable and include a refrigerator and fairly quick Wi-Fi. If I go back to Sarajevo I will stay here.
This hotel is the perfect small intimate hotel. The location could not be better, it is right in the old city, bazaar, so you can come in during the day, have a rest, and go out again. The rooms are comfy and clean, wifi is excellent and the views from the back are wonderful. The best thing about this hotel is the attentive and helpful staff. The young people working here, some of whom are the owner's sons, are so informative and helpful and really love their city and give so many great ideas of where to go, where to eat, and tours that can bring the city to life for a visitor. The hotel arranged a 5 hour private tour of the hills around the city, including the tunnel under the airport through which people carried supplies during the Siege. It was an incredible experience, tour was so informative and we really learned so much about what the people here went through during the Siege of Sarajevo. We enjoyed coming back in the afternoon and making a cup of tea. Their recommendations for dinner was also terrific, from the local restaurants where the locals go, to the "splurge" hotel up on the hill with terrific views of the city. There was NOTHING I would complain about.
