Bedbug nightmare

Our recent stay at Taj Falaknuma Palace was a major letdown and unfortunately not worth the investment.

We encountered multiple bed bugs in the room and provided clear photo proof to management. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, staff dismissed the evidence, arguing that they were merely garden bugs—an unprofessional and frustrating response. Their inspection was done during the day when the bugs were inactive, allowing them to claim nothing was found.

Worse still, the infestation ruined our expensive luggage and belongings, forcing us to discard them to protect our home. When we sought accountability, management took zero responsibility and unconvincingly claimed no prior guests had reported similar issues, despite public reviews indicating otherwise.

To top it off, their suggested customer service resolution was to come see them the next time we are in Hyderabad to discuss our concerns. As international travelers, the suggestion that we should spend a future trip going back to argue about an issue from months ago is completely impractical and tone-deaf.

Given the lack of accountability and poor handling of the situation, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to others.

Returning to Taj Falaknuma Palace for the second time in just a few months was an easy decision, largely because of Mr. Abid. After our previous stay, we had left with mixed feelings due to a housekeeping incident, but before we checked out, he sincerely apologized, assured us it would never happen again, and promised to personally oversee our next visit.

He more than kept his word. We returned to celebrate our parents’ wedding anniversary, and thanks to his thoughtful planning and attention to detail, the occasion turned into a truly memorable family celebration. He accommodated our requests, making it possible for our close family members to join us and experience this breathtaking palace, whose hilltop location offers some of the finest views of Hyderabad. Every part of our stay reflected the highest standards, from the immaculate cleanliness of the rooms and public spaces to the peaceful, quiet atmosphere that makes the palace feel like a world of its own, complemented by exceptional amenities and impeccable service.

What impressed me even more was his integrity and professionalism. He personally resolved a misunderstanding regarding the in-room minibar charges for soft drinks we had not consumed, ensuring the matter was handled fairly and without inconvenience. Moments like these are what make the experience feel genuinely worthwhile and reinforce the value of staying at a property of this caliber.

One of the highlights of our visit was Mr. Abid’s surprise walkthrough of the magnificent Presidential Suite, The Nizam Darbar. Experiencing such an extraordinary space was a privilege and has certainly inspired us to return for a stay there in the future.

A heartfelt thank you to Punam ma’am and Mr. Imran, whose warmth and gracious hospitality made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.

This visit reminded us that true luxury is not defined only by the grandeur of a palace, but by the people who make every guest feel genuinely valued. We left with beautiful memories and are already looking forward to returning once again.

It was such a wonderful experience to stay here..a true zamindari feeling.we had a one night stay over here. Awesome..beyond my words..the breakfast spread was too good..
The restaurant executives Mr Sudhakar Nawsar Salman Satyajit, they all are a gem of a person..they guided us well.. and also gifted us a box of osmania biscuits..will love to visit this place again..

We visited as a family of 13 to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel is beautifully located, occupying the former residence of the Nizam's family, and the property carries that history well. The layout is measured and the pace unhurried — in the best possible way; simply being there feels relaxing. The palace tour is a must, and my wife loved the grand halls. The Indian vegetarian food was average and could be improved. Service overall was good, though the Front Office staff could use some training and polishing. Worth a visit.

Our Hi-Tea experience at Celeste, Taj Falaknuma Palace , Hyderabad was truly exceptional. The royal ambience, delicious food, and impeccable hospitality made it a memorable afternoon.

A heartfelt appreciation to Prem Anand, the talented pianist. It was such a lovely surprise when he played two beautiful baby songs, and our daughter absolutely loved them. Watching her smile and enjoy the music made our visit even more special. His performance added a magical touch to an already wonderful afternoon.

Had an amazing experience at Celeste, Taj Falaknuma Palace! From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everything was simply perfect. The hospitality was truly outstanding and made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

Every check-in, request, inquiry, and interaction was handled with grace, efficiency, and genuine warmth. No matter the hour, the consistency of service never changed. The Restaurant Team deserves a standing ovation. My heartfelt thanks to Sudhakar, Nasar, Mohsin, Sujal, and the two wonderful team members whose names I unfortunately failed to note. Every meal was served with elegance, pride, and sincere hospitality. Their attentiveness, recommendations, and care transformed every dining experience into a memorable occasion.

As for the culinary experience—words hardly do it justice. The food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was, in my opinion, truly Michelin-star quality. Every dish reflected exceptional craftsmanship, premium ingredients, and remarkable attention to detail.

The Lobster, Prawns, Fish, Marag, beautifully prepared BBQ grilled specialties, the wide variety of chicken dishes, the perfectly balanced Chicken and Mutton Biryani, the refreshing drink reminiscent of traditional Zeera Soda, and every single dessert were simply outstanding. Each bite was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. It wasn’t just food—it was a culinary journey that delighted every sense.

The Spa experience was equally extraordinary. The therapists demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and technical expertise. Every movement reflected years of training and genuine passion for their craft. The treatment was deeply relaxing, rejuvenating, and restorative. By the end of the session, I genuinely felt as though I was floating on air. It was one of the finest spa experiences I have ever had.

What impressed me most throughout our stay was not just the grandeur of this magnificent palace, but the people who bring it to life every single day. Every staff member we encountered embodied humility, grace, professionalism, and heartfelt hospitality. They didn’t simply meet expectations—they exceeded them in every possible way.

Our stay at Taj Falaknuma Palace was overall delightful — the horse carriage welcome, beautiful grounds, thoughtful amenities, and cake in the room made it special. The palace tour was excellent and truly a must‑experience for anyone visiting.

However, a few dining experiences left us disappointed. My booking clearly mentioned a $100 credit for food or dinner for two, which was confirmed both at reception and again by the staff who guided us to our room. Yet at dinner, they only acknowledged the $100 option, refusing to honor the “dinner for two” part even after I showed the booking details.

Lunch at Adaa was another letdown, with service extremely slow — not just for food, but also for getting the check and having leftovers packed. Breakfast live counters like dosa and paratha were tasty, but the buffet spread felt limited compared to other luxury hotels.

Despite these issues, the stay itself was memorable thanks to the palace experience and warm touches.
