The hotel is gorgeous . The service and kindness over the top
Room was very clean
Great location, clean and an overall pleasant experience.
Nothing
Breakfast was varied and delicious. The room and bathroom were spotless. Sauna and gym available. Location perfect.
Breakfast was expensive. It was lovely but there’s only so much I can eat! I really don’t get my money’s worth!
Excellently located to explore Bruges and the hotel parking is reasonably priced and easily accessible (be careful if you have a tailgate that comes up high though, you may hit it on the roof as we almost did!) I'll start with the Pro's... It is a beautiful hotel for a 4 star, you feel like you're in a 5* hotel when you are in the lobby etc and the rooms are beautiful (we were kindly upgraded from a luxury room to the loft, which l think may have been because our babies cot that we requested may not have fit well in a luxury room). The cons were there isn't much view (again that's not really something you need when the centre of Bruges is 20 steps away) and for us, travelling with a baby who goes to bed at 6/7pm, we could have done with some room service food which this hotel didn't offer. They only offer drinks to your room. I also asked for some fresh milk and this wasn't something they could accommodate without charging me a room service fee. For the 250 euros I'd say it was overpriced, we paid the same for the Marriott in Ghent and had a better room/room service. But I can imagine Bruges just is more expensive. Rooms were immaculate though (bathrooms are little dates but that's not an issue) Our room was very quiet too. If management see this, I would review your milk to the room policy, if you are offering tea and coffee with no milk, some fresh milk would be nice. Also, maybe breakfast or snack baskets if you can't offer full room service.
Amazing location and beautiful hotel
Quite expensive
On the day of checkout, my wife sustained an extreme electrical shock that from the wall-mounted hairdryer in our room. The incident was significant enough to cause a power disruption affecting multiple rooms. The event caused her physical distress and resulted in lost time, including missed business obligations.
Management’s response was concerning. The general manager attributed the incident to alleged user error (wet hands) without conducting a documented investigation. We were further made to feel that the event was being questioned or minimized. The only action taken was to summon a physician to assess her condition; no additional accommodation or acknowledgment of the disruption was provided.
We are documenting this incident to ensure transparency and to encourage caution regarding the property’s electrical fixtures. Based on our experience, concerns appear to be addressed in a manner that limits responsibility rather than fully evaluating the underlying issue.
