Grand Hotel Casselbergh

This hotel is fabulous. Residence fit for a king, literally, in this case King Charles II, of Britain, who had it as his royal residence, together with the Duke of York. Bruges is small, so wherever you stay in Old Bruges will probably be close to everything, but still even in this context the location is unbeatable. We stayed in the "new wing", in a room facing the canal. The room was great. Soundproof. Comfy bed. Parking right underneath the hotel. The bar and lobby were like a museum, in the good sense. Everything was beautiful. The staff was great. The breakfast was awesome, including champagne. I stayed in dozens of good and great hotels around the world. Casselbergh is right on top among them.

Wonderful hotel in a great location right in the old town near the main square. The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated with lush finishes. The rooms are generous sizes and the bed very comfortable. We felt st home on this hotel, it’s one of the nicest we have stayed in.

Sublime, petit déjeuner exceptionnel!

Ontbijt was prima, zeer uitgebreid, helaas zat dit niet in de prijs bleek later (niet goed opgelet). Prijs was maar liefst 34 euro per persoon per dag, dat is naar mijn mening zeer prijzig. De auto parkeren was eveneens mogelijk tegen een bedrag van 30 euro per dag, ook stevig aan de prijs als ik zie dat ik voor 2 dagen in de parkeergarage 45 euro heb betaald * Dus beter een stuk lopen naar een parkeergarage.

Lokationen var meget central. Hyggelige omgivelser i hotellet gav det hele et ekstra niveau.
Vi gjorde brug af morgenmaden på hotellet hvilket var fremragende.
Personalet var meget imødekommende og var gode til at vejlede i forhold til Brugge.
Dejlig bar, hvor det var hyggeligt at sidde og samle op på dagen.

Het hotel is wauw en de ligging kan niet beter, direct in het centrum en toch rustig. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. De bar is gewoon chique, heel gezellig om te zitten. Het ontbijt was heel gevarieerd en super lekker, keuze in overvloed.

Hôtel somptueux, bien situé, décoration, détails, bar, espaces, literie, propreté, ça sent bon partout.

Great location and service

It was a good experience . Hotel was few minutes away from the town square . Very well maintained hotel and while cost seems exorbitant, but that hotel makes up for it. Breakfast spread was quite decent , rooms were stayed in were also quite decent . All in all it was worth it. If I had to nitpick here, would be the missing warmth, a smile , small chit chat, from the reception staff which for me felt very cold and machine like. Apart from this no reason to complain. Whether I would stay here when I can come back, maybe yes or maybe no as there are lot of hotel options that can be explored .

Удобно расположен, всё замечательно. Есть свой подземный паркинг на уровне -2, чтобы на него попасть надо заехать на машине в лифт и спуститься. Нам на большой машине было сложновато. А так все великолепно

L’emplacement et la qualité des prestations

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est excellent, juste à côté de la place du Bourg, l’une des plus anciennes et des plus belles places de Bruges. C’est un vrai avantage pour découvrir facilement le centre historique à pied.
En revanche, dès notre arrivée, je n’ai pas ressenti un accueil particulièrement professionnel. L’attitude m’a plutôt donné une impression d’indifférence, ce qui est regrettable pour un établissement de ce standing.
La chambre était très classique, sans charme particulier. Nous étions logées dans l’extension de l’hôtel et non dans la partie historique, ce qui explique sans doute une ambiance plus impersonnelle. La décoration et les équipements restent standards, sans élément remarquable ni réelle sensation d’exception.
La literie est toutefois très confortable.
Le véritable point fort de l’hôtel réside, à mon avis, dans ses salons communs, qui offrent une décoration authentique du XVIIe siècle et une atmosphère beaucoup plus intéressante que celle des chambres.

The best hotel in Brugge which deserves a 5 star. We had a great experience from tge start, check in, stay and check out. It's a beautiful historical building in the centre of Brugge. Perfect location. Beautiful buulding with an monumental and a new/modern part.
The lighting, style and the rooms are very nice. Everything was perfect.
The breakfast is an absolute must if you stay here. We loved and enjoyed everything about it and lots to choose from. Employees are very nice, helpful, kind and very professional. This will be our 'must stay' hotel in Brugge from now on.
