Very good, significant number of choices
Spacious, view was phenomenal, balcony, young lady who checked us in was super nice
Location…Location…Location! Smithfield Station is nestled between historic sites and gorgeous waterfront views. The room, food, and atmosphere were the cherry on top.
Everything was clean and every staff member was very helpful . And sweet
Every staff member was exceptional and I must add, very cute.
Only complaint I might have is the toilet was a bit low. That's it
I visited Smithfield in March 2026 to get a feel for the area and do some house hunting. I secured the last available room that could provide for the duration I was seeking. The lady on the phone who facilitated the reservation was very friendly and patient as I asked various questions etc.
My room was above the restaurant and had a balcony overlooking the river. It was so peaceful to sit out there in the morning, watching the sun come up as I enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee.
The provided breakfast was lovely with a lot of options for hotel guests. I enjoyed it downstairs a couple of mornings, and then up in the room another.
The location was perfect to be able to walk about and enjoy the downtown area. If I'd had more time, I would have explored the park and its trails. (Next time.)
I dined in the restaurant 2/3 nights and enjoyed both meals. The server I had the first evening was absolutely lovely, very friendly.
Room was clean, recently went through a renovation that maintained both the charm of being in that location as well as met the comforts we tend to expect from hotels in current day.
Absolutely lovely. I will be a return guest -- I envision future staycations here.
This is a wonderful hotel. The room was very nice. Location was excellent. Our second time here…
This was great. I lived in Smithfield for several years and moved away. I came back to visit friends and we decided to stay here because we always thought about doing it when we lived in Smithfield. It did not disappoint. High level of hospitality, great attentiveness, and great atmosphere. We will be staying here again when we visit. Rooms aren't super updated but they are classy and well maintained. Area is great and within walking distance to several attractions in Smithfield. The continental breakfast was on par or slightly above most other hotels. The apple cinnamon muffins were great and they had a decent selection for breakfast options.
Lovely restful atmosphere. Rooms spacious and comfortable
The room was a good size. It was nice having the balcony to look at the river. The breakfast is included if you stay Monday through Saturday which was a nice perk.
A 5 star experience all the way. Clean and cozy room. Great dinner at the restaurant next door. Highly Recommend.
Smithfield Station is a destination we regularly go to for romantic getaway weekends and special events. We've enjoyed Thanksgiving, Fourth of July and Valintine's Day in the quiet, scenic beauty of the waterside. Service is impeccable. Rooms are clean and comfy with a balcony for a beautiful view of the Pagan River. Breakfast and brunch (Sundays) are available and delicious. A wonderful place to relax alongside your special someone. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place.
TV system not good.
Fantastic
Nothing
Very accommodating, went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable
Smithfield Station was a great weekend getaway! We stayed in the Marina Cottage and had a great experience. The cottages were a bit outdated but they mentioned when we checked-in that they would be closing down after the holidays to get a refresh. The privacy was a great option. We love B&B’s but also like to not have to be super social when we aren’t in the mood. It was a great mix. The cottages get all the amenities as the main house - breakfast and use of the lobby. The staff was very helpful when needed. There is an onsite pool which though we didn’t use, looked clean and was very close to our cabin. It was an easy walk up to the main town which had some great food and shopping. The onsite restaurant was probably one of the best food experiences we had. Overall a very peaceful weekend. Highly recommended.
