Amazing hospitality and a great value for money.
Pros:

While the La Mariscal neighborhood skews a little younger than this middle-aged guy, it felt quite safe, and the hotel is on a nice, quiet, tree-lined street. Also, the staff was so helpful and friendly! I arrived early, but they held my bags until the room was ready. They started breakfast early for me on the morning of my trip to Mindo. They even held onto my bags for free after checkout since I was staying at a different hotel near the airport on my final night. I also loved that I could book excursions through them for MUCH lower than Trip Advisor. The room was cozy, and had a ton of character. Great value!

Cons:

There were only two things that I would have changed. First, the mattress is very firm. It's not a bad or worn out mattress. Just be aware for anyone like me who prefers a softer mattress. Second, the temperature of the water for the shower was very touchy. Just be careful before stepping in. Overall, these are minor issues, and for the price, it is a wonderful value.

Um alojamento cheio de charme em Quito!
Pros:

Gostei muito da estadia. A localização é excelente, numa casa histórica cheia de charme e personalidade. Apesar de se encontrar numa zona animada, conhecida pela sua vida noturna, o hotel é surpreendentemente calmo e sossegado. A possibilidade de estacionamento privativo é outra grande vantagem. Todos os funcionários foram extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos, mostrando também grande flexibilidade em guardar a nossa bagagem. Em resumo, um excelente local para ficar em Quito!

Cons:

As alcatifas, tanto do quarto como das zonas comuns, precisariam de uma limpeza mais profunda.

A charming place to stay in Quito!
Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent, in a charming historic house full of character. Despite being in a lively area known for its nightlife, the hotel is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Having access to private parking is another great advantage. The staff were all extremely kind and attentive, and very flexible with storing our luggage. Overall, a lovely place to stay in Quito!

Cons:

The cleanliness of the carpets in both the room and the common areas could be improved. They would benefit from a more thorough cleaning.

Convenient location and great value.
Pros:

Location was very convenient for ubers and popular tourist spots. Breakfast was delicious, very accommodating staff. Walking distance to many restaurants.

Cons:

We stayed in the apartment and the kids' bunk bed room was far away from the other sleeping area and right by the front door so that didn't feel ideal for kids. The local restaurants have limited hours and Google is often incorrect, just a note for other travelers!

Host was great. Tracking our delayed flight ✈️. We arrived 5 hours late..
Very welcoming, and attentive to our needs.

Beautiful, clean and cozy accomodation. Great location, with bars and restaurants within walking distance and a short walk or metro ride into the old town. Our host, Veronica went above and beyond to help me when I lost my phone too. An exceptional stay.

Great quiet location with very helpful staff, good base to explore Quito
Pros:

Staff exceptionally helpful, for example sorting very early breakfasts for us when we had day trips and helping with taxis and advice. Good location, a quiet street but close to some great restaurants and 20-30min walk into old town.
