Please inform Abbots Hamilton – Hotel and Conference Center in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Our restaurant and bar are temperately closed from 14th Nov 2021 till further notice.

Reception hours are Monday to Sunday and Public holidays 8 am-7 pm.

If you expect to arrive outside these hours you must inform the property in advance in order to arrange late check in and key collection. If you do not inform the property a late check in fee of NZD $50 may apply.

Please note that there is a 3% charge when you pay with an American Express or Diners Club credit card.

You must show a valid credit card upon check in. This credit card must be in the same name as the guest's name on the booking confirmation. For more information, please contact the property using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.

Please note that the dinner special option includes a free continental breakfast and a pre-set dinner menu.
The property will be renovating from 5 October 2022. (completion date subject to change).Renovation work will only be conducted during working hours on weekdays. Every effort will be made to minimize noise and disturbance.Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Not very good value for the money we paid

Our stay was manageable thanks to the friendly staff and central location, but the motel felt dated
Pros:

Staff were warm and welcoming, and they offered to service the room each morning. The location was convenient and quite central to everything we needed.

Cons:

Beds were quite low and not very comfortable, and the pillows felt poor in quality. Because we’re elderly, having the shower positioned over a spa bath made it very hard to get in and out safely, and it felt like a slip risk. The overall condition of the motel also felt dated and in need of refurbishment.

Disappointed.
Pros:

We really liked the location.

Cons:

We were pretty disappointed with the place for the amount we paid. It wasn't clean, the glasses and cups were covered in grime, our bath jets didn't work, the light above the sink didn't work, along with the bathroom fan. Our blankets had some stains and the table was sticky.
The walls were very thin and we heard a lot noise and arguments from all around. And there was a weird bag taped around the shower head.
The location was the only saving grace.

Disappointing for the cost
Pros:

Room is in need of a real renovation! Dirty curtains, some holes in places, bathroom was disgusting, floor sticky in bathroom I think the toilet was possibly leaking and I was to scared to use the spa bath as jets looked as if they needed a good clean 🤢

Unclean bathroom, should have taken photos

The bathroom is not user-friendly to a person with a disability, you have no choice but to use the bath tub. Local house guests fight and scream at each other without consideration of their guests. Rooms looked out dated.
