We have reopened the main building following refurbishment work designed to further enhance the experience of every stay. During these first few days, some areas may still be in the final stages of refurbishment, although all our services are operating as normal.
Bookings of 3 rooms or more will have the following cancellation policies:
-25% will be charged if cancellation happens 15 days prior to check-in date.
-50% will be charged if cancellation happens 7 days prior to check-in date.
-100% will be charged if cancellation happens 3 days prior to check-in date.
Please note that, based on local tax laws, all Argentinian citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (VAT) of 21%. Only foreigners who pay with a foreign credit card, debit card or via bank transfer are exempt from this 21% additional fee (VAT) in accommodation and breakfast when presenting a foreign passport or a foreign ID along with a supporting document handed by the national migrations authority, if applicable.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Nothing to dislike
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile and welcome to the hotel. Things just kept on getting better. The staff are exceptional, the breakfasts were great and the location ideal for the town.
The room was well laid out, bed was really comfortable and the double shower was brilliant. Everything from the pods in the coffee machine were great.
The range of wines is very good and they invite guests to join them at 6:30 for a glass each evening.
In May it was too cold to use the pool and jacuzzi, but they we were well kept and presented. The steam from the jacuzzi almost tempted me.
As boutique hotels go this has it all. The building has a lodge feel, with an awesome door and constant log fire.
Staff that are helpful, efficient and friendly.

We had an amazing stay at Lares de Chacras and would absolutely stay again.
The hotel was beautiful, very clean and had such a relaxing atmosphere. The pool area was especially nice after a day exploring the wineries, and the whole property felt peaceful and well maintained.
The staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. One of the best parts was being able to rent bikes directly from the hotel to visit nearby wineries, and the hotel also helped arrange everything which made it really easy.
The local area was quiet and charming, but still only a short trip into Mendoza city if you want restaurants or nightlife.

Such a beautiful 'lodge' in Mendoza with a very warm welcome from the staff. We loved our large comfortable room and the outdoor area. The 6:30pm wine tasting was most welcome and the staff were very knowledgeable about the wines.
This is a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The complimentary 6pm wine from their own vineyard was a real hit! Loved the outdoor jacuzzi and open fire. Dinner also good.
My only criticism was the neighbours dog that barked all night and interrupted my sleep. But I doubt you would have heard it from the main building.
Lares de Chacras is a truly charming boutique hotel nestled in the heart of Chacras. The room was excellent—comfortable, well-appointed, and complemented by a spacious balcony that made it easy to unwind. One of the highlights was the hot tub under the stars, which added a special, memorable touch to the stay. The location is also a major plus, within walking distance to several wineries, making it ideal for a relaxed wine-country experience.
The staff was consistently warm and attentive, contributing to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The only downside was the breakfast, which could use some improvement to match the quality of the rest of the experience.

Food at the restaurant was ok, but great options nearby in Chacras de Coria.
Fantastic service, staff - everyone was great but especially Ximena & Gabriel. Loved the innovative touches like the 6.30pm drinks as a way to meet other guests. The hotel seems to attract like-minded people, so it's a natural hub for connections!
