Twin room was fine for 2 adults and 2 children, weird bathroom configuration with no closing the bathroom off to the bedroom ??? so no real privacy in bathroom....Pool was so crowded I turned around and went back to room lots of kids/families

It was still enjoyable but it’s a long walk around the complex

Monday we went out came back for a rest in the afternoon. Then the noise started. Above us was so much work going on, banging, drilling for quite a while. It was awful! We rang down and were told it was emergency work in the pool area. I feel they should have checked whether anyone was in their room and warned us. Also we like a booklet to look through for information not a QR code. Couldn’t change the room temperature, it was too warm.

Cons:

I was charged for a Mini Bar when we did not use the mini bar. This indicates that the housekeeping was not checking the mini bar prior to our arrival and l got a charge on my invoice.

Nice but......
Pros:

Perfect location, easy access to the City, the Convention centre and Southbank, Casino and Restaurants.
We had the twin room, good size room with a view to the bay and the river.

Cons:

Because I was using a debit card, the hotel took a $200 deposit which they hold, the deposit they said wont be refunded for between 3 and 5 business days.
For this day and age I feel its pretty poor that a hotel chain such as Crown Metropol to hold onto my money for that period of time..
I havent had that occur for a very long time.
The beds were firm and the pillows were a memory type medium pillow, all 4 pillows on the beds were exacrly the same.
I also used the Valet parking, I didnt realise it was going to cost me $70 per night, my own fault for not checking so this was just a dissapointing extra cost I didnt think about.
