Spacious room but lacks guest-centred design
Pros:

Room and bathroom was very spacious.
Late check-out was very useful.

Cons:

Frequent miscommunication with housekeeping and front desk for simple requests (e.g. asking for tea and milk to be restocked).
Amenities in the room were far too small for use, and not sufficient for two guests.
No power sockets or suitable bedside table on one side of the bed.
The toilet door does not close and is not remotely soundproof.

Nice hotel but not near ce enough to want to return
Pros:

It was all nice

Cons:

It was nice but just not anything special. We was constantly woken up by the room above making noise which isn’t the hotels fault but impacted on our one night stay impression.

First class hotel in perfect location
Pros:

Perfect location in the middle of Calgary. Very clean, quite, close to many restaurants. 20 minutes walking distance to Saddledome. The Tower on the opposite side of the street. Very friendly and helpful staff (Taya, Allan and many others). If we come back to Cgy, definitely stay in Le Germain again.

Pros:

All staff werevvery accommodating and helpful. The concierge, Gem, helped find great places to eat and things to do. The room was spotless and nicely furnished. The location was right across the street from the Calgary Tower and a short walk to 8th Avenue SW which was a pedestrian mall with restaurants, shops and such.

Cons:

Could have a few more lights and outlets in the room.

Pros:

The location was great and the staff were all really friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

The bathtub needed some help, you can tell it needed some upgrades as it dropped for about an hour after turning the water off.

A 5 star hotel. Too bad about some road construction
Pros:

This is a high touch high service Hotel. Very pleasant experience

Cons:

There's a fair amount of construction going on nearby the hotel. This is clearly beyond their control and they're coping as best that they can. It didn't mean the only rational option was to use their valet service which was an extra fee

Worth every penny
Pros:

Aside from the construction that is not their fault it was AMAZING. The staff were absolutely a delight. Valet parking was such a blessing. Spa was great. Front desk was my favorite. I wish I could remember the persons name but he is from Brisbane and what a delight!!!!! Turn down was so appreciated as well

Cons:

Website should provide better instructions how to deal with the construction. It took 2 turns around the block but all in all I made it and it was worth it
