The staff were very helpful 🙂

Cons:

Additional £15 per day parking charge. Paid for half board but wa not told this was £25 per person from menu any amount over this had to be paid.

Pros:

Great hotel, lovely room, friendly greeting. Bath fills up quickly with piping hot water. 2nd stay here will book again when in Bournemouth.

Nice stay in the heart of Bournemouth
Pros:

Great full English breakfast. Nice outdoor area. Good location- close to town.

Cons:

Our TV was very old and didn’t work very well even when batteries were replaced. Could do with updating.

Perfect Location and Clean Comfy Room
Pros:

Location was great, very clean and comfy room, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very yummy!

Cons:

Bit expensive for a bottle of water at the bar. Plus the parking is a bit expensive (£15) but you do get a 24hr stay.

Lovely Afternoon Tea
Pros:

Visited for afternoon tea. Lovely fresh sandwiches- egg mayo, ham and cheese & tomato. A range of cakes, then warm scones with jam and cream.
Plenty of tea and coffee. Just dropped a star as the service was a little slow and cakes although tasty were not explained - so no idea what they were.

Pros:

Such a lovely restaurant, staff are lovely and welcoming. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the pappardelle pesto pasta, it was to die for!

Would not recommend this hotel.
Pros:

Walkable to Bournemouth town centre.

Cons:

Foyer smelt of BO. Requested a nice room and was given a room above the bar/restaurant at the front of the building. Was disturbed in the evening by very loud music from below and in the morning disturbed by bin lorry arriving. There was a body hair attached to my complimentary mini soap under the label.. ugh! Breakfast was the worst we have encountered..continental breakfast has no cold meats or cheeses out and poor offering of other items. When requested cheese selection were given sliced cheese that was dry and old. Toaster not working properly, had to ask for butter. Mushrooms were very shrivelled and obviously old. On arrival the Staff member had said they would change our room after one night but then changed their mind despite the hotel being fairly empty. Parking is £15 per night but there is free parking right outside after 5pm.

We have stayed at The Orchid many times and keep returning.
Pros:

The room was ready on our arrival which was an hour before check in. Reception staff greeting was friendly and our room was warm on arrival. The room was clean and bed very comfortable.

Cons:

Could have done with having glasses in the room/bathroom only cups were supplied.
