Underwhelmed overall. Room was not as promised

Location was okay

Cons:

I payed extra for a “classic king” room expecting a larger bed as expected and a larger room size. Neither was the case. The bed was a small double and when I contacted the staff about this they said they receive many complaints like this as it’s underwhelming. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and felt like I just waisted my money.

Great value and a really welcoming stay.
Pros:

Room was spot on and excellent to have air con in the hot week. The staff at breakfast were really excellent and made us a poached egg which was perfect. We watched the football in the bar and it was a great atmopshere.

Cons:

Lift was out of action which was problem for one of us. But everytjing was very good.

Pros:

Nice clean modern feel, intimate, small, cozy, friendly staff, open bar, nice simple breakfast. Perfect for a short stay. 5 mins from the beach front in the less busy section.

Cons:

Booked for 2 adults and a child got and got a room with 2 single beds, so not very practical a double would have made sense, rooms a small.

Disappointing
Pros:

The location was within walking distance to the beach which was convenient and the staff were friendly. The restaurant food was very for dinner and breakfast except for the coffee which was not hot. West Beach is better than East beach which was dirtier and busier.

Cons:

There was no curtain or block out blind in our room as someone had pulled it down accidentally the week before and it had not been fixed so we struggled to sleep as the light streamed in all night and the staff were unable to sort it or give us another room. The bathroom extractor fan was not working and the non-slip mat was missing, despite a sign stating it should be there. Our used towels were not collected as indicated by the policy note, though reception kindly handed me fresh ones when asked. The parking per day was £15 which I think is too much especially when you are driving around during the day visiting other places and having to pay for more parking. Most annoyingly is that when I gave the hotel an opportunity to respond to my concerns they never bothered to respond or do anything to help.
