Comfy bed and good value for money.
Pros:

The room was well equipped with a comfy bed, coffee maker, toiletries and a modern bathroom. I didn't use any other facilities in the hotel. It was good value for money

Cons:

I didn't pay the £15 to park in the car park (which seemed a little expensive) as there was street parking directly outside the hotel which costs £4.60 overnight.

Pros:

The public rooms were pleasantly furnished, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location.

Cons:

Our room.whilst clean and comfortable looked a little tired, good do with a repaint. The hot water flasks at breakfast just don't keep the water hot enough for making tea, the coffee was weak and not the of particularly goid quality.

A pleasant stay..
Pros:

First stayed here about 16 or so years ago and had a good experience so decided to go back. Well, let me say they've had a major 'glow up'. Lovely bar, pleasant breakfast area, comfortable rooms with all the amenities you would look for in a mid-range hotel.
Pod coffee maker in the room, with extra pods if requested. Decent breakfast, convivial staff, comfy bed, clean room with ensuite, plenty of on-site parking and close enough to town to get a taxi if you're having a drink. No complaints, would recommend.

Pros:

Check in with David was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Bathroom's very clean, nice bar area.

Cons:

Room had a view of the huge kitchen extractor fan and air conditioning units which were very loud. Had 2 rooms booked and the TV's didn't work in either - staff couldn't fix the issue. Food at breakfast was nice, once it arrived, self service but only certain items available at the same time, eggs but no bacon, etc. Only one member of staff to cover breakfast with at least 20 guests.

Comfortable and convenient stay
Pros:

It was in a good location with the high street and beach within 10-15min drive away.

Nice and cozy rooms - very clean - staff weee really nice- David especially in the bar/reception was very kind to us.

Cons:

Have to pay for on site parking - even with disabled bay. We had to park on the street.

No phones in rooms - have to go to reception for queries.

Nice hotel
Pros:

The Orchid was nicely situated between the beach, gardens and Sonny's Speakeasy that we wanted to visit.

Cons:

Although not bad, the room wasn't quite as large or nicely decorated as the ones seen online and was initially cold when we arrived.

Comfortable and warm hotel
Pros:

Room was very comfortable and warm. Room was clean. Staff very welcome. Breakfast was nice.

Cons:

Get the lift working. Especially as I'm disabled. Even though staff did carry my bag up for me. When I went for breakfast, every table not in use hadn't been cleared.
