Good budget hotel, no frills, but clean
Pros:

Good parking, location is great for Alton Towers, just 20 minutes away. There is a large Tesco, and a McDonalds opposite the hotel. The hotel is basic, but our room and bathroom were clean, it is dated, but for a budget hotel is was perfectly fine. We did have a little corridor noise, but after 9pm there was no noise at all. Bring your own fan if staying in hot weather

Cons:

There were no plug sockets near the bed

Smelly dirty dump
Pros:

25 minute wait for checkin eventually went to the bar where the manager who does multiple jobs came to help. We stayed 3 nights and was the same story nobody on reception.we had 3 rooms all smelt of mould and had mould! Mouse traps under bed.my son cut his finger on the wall at reception, assistant manager then taped it up with black tape and was very rude about it. Toilet wobbly and handle hardly flushed. Foot prints on walls, lights hanging off the wall, furniture ready for the skip.extraxtor fan in bathroom stuffed with toilet roll and holes in the walls. At the bar men drunk and wrestling eachother this continued to the beer garden, woman running round in denim shorts unbuttoned and staff took no notice at this family hotel where 5 in our party was under 12. Couldnt eat the pre paid breakfast as the plates were covered in grease and fingerprints. Faulty towers wouldn't have a look in way this dump!

Brilliant week with Family.
Pros:

Was our stop over for a 2 day visit to Alton Towers. Staff as always were excellent from Breakfast time right through the day until bar closes. The rooms are clean and large and beds are super comfy. Good choice for breakfast. Ideal location for visiting surrounding Stoke and Alton attractions. Our trip coincided with World cup, so was busy in the evenings for football, but staff went out there way to ensure we could get a table for dinner both nights. Beer Garden out the back and seating at the front so wherever the sun is you are sorted

Cons:

This is the 4th time we have stayed here and any negatives would not stop me booking again. Rooms are a little tired (Scuffed furniture & grout in bathroom) . Our TV was not able to connect to WIFI so unable to link to tv apps.

Nice location and nice room.
Pros:

The location is well placed for local attractions, the rooms are nice.

Cons:

The rooms do show their age slightly with some bits, the access hatch to the toilet cistern was loose which makes you worried you might get blamed for existing damage.

Great location, friendly staff and good food
Pros:

Room was perfect for my teenage son and I who were visiting Alton Towers for a few days. The breakfast each morning was great to set us up for the day and we both enjoyed a couple of evening meals too.

Cons:

The lock on the bathroom door was a bit stiff and my son had difficulty with it, as did I as I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands.
Under side of the soap dish on the wall at the bath did not appear to have been cleaned for a while as it was black underneath. Obviously only really noticeable if you are having a bath!

You get what you pay for
Pros:

The hotel was easily accessible from M6

Cons:

The room was very poor lots of lime scale in the bathroom and the skirting was black tape holding it together. Very much in need of repair and updating
