Overall a good stay. Very friendly staff all round. On arrival had to wait to check in as gent was trying to assist in all areas, but still friendly on his approach. Room very clean and tidy with fresh linen and towels, but in desperate need of a paint and update in fixings, shower head needs to be replaced due to hit and miss of water direction! Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, staff very friendly and on the ball with allergy information.
Location that we needed and staff in attached pub were great.
The room had a constant jet engine running in the bathroom all night.
The grumpy guy on reception Friday didn’t care at all. £95 for a sleepless night!!!
Room was clean a little tired as was bathroom but plenty of hot water it was what you would expect for what you pay
The bathroom
facilities good, we all enjoyed food in the bar area
bathroom was not the best with mould in corners, bedroom very dated
It needs a full referb ???
Our room had a bath tub, its been 5 years of showers! So nice to relax in lots of hot water. The staff were all lovely. The food was tremendous. It is a budget hotel so my expectations weren't high, but I enjoyed it, and had a good night's sleep. I felt I paid what it was worth, possible too little, I've paid a lot more for hotels and felt cheated. I'd happily stay here again. Theres also a large Tesco with a petrol station opposite, and a McDonald's too. So no need to worry about forgetting anything as you can buy it easily when you arrive.
Leaving, I'd love to have stayed an extra night
Location
Noise, dirt, overpriced
Amazing location for Alton Towers!
Felt very run down. Tiles missing from shower and wood around window was rotting away. Sofa bed also smelt of wee 🫣
The location, the restaurant was on site. Value for money. Staff were friendly
Needs updating, there was a pub quiz going on while we were eating in the restaurant, it was really loud and not my thing. I finished my dinner and sat outside in the beer garden which was fine
Couldn’t fault it for the price. Great location
Not the cleanest inside and loud fire doors slammed very loud can be heard from corridor
Place clean and bed comfy.
No passenger lift! My wife has difficulty with stairs but we didn't check if there was a lift since it is a basic requirement. Also, if you opened the window there was a lot of traffic noise.
Not a lot! If I could have slept in my car I would have!
The room was awful!! There was mould all around the bathroom seal to bath there was a missing tile around the bath, the ceiling in the bathroom had clearly been painted over to hide all the mould patches! Poor shower was almost hanging off the wall and was just pure grot! The room was small, the window in the room was blown and had a draft with mould all around and was flaking from wood work, the netting on the widow was covered in mould. All the furniture was very worn and dated.
The room above us was very loud all night in which I was woken 3 times due to the noise. The breakfast was ok overall would never stay again.
Compfy bed clean room.
Pub eas very busy too loud for me.
We stayed in room 20 for the dates 28th April through to 1st May 2026 and found the room to be clean and tidy. Bed linen and towels were clean and fresh with beds being very comfortable giving a good nights sleep every night of our stay. The room was well equipped with an electric fan, hair dryer, kettle coffee, tea and sugar. Also a television. We found this hotel good value for the money we paid. All the staff we met were very friendly and polite. The restaurant provided good quality food and again all the staff were ever so attentive and friendly. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when next visiting the area.
