The way the rooms are set out is just perfect
Breakfast is valued for money great choice
Everything was great. From location, food, comfort and safe parking. Will definately be staying there again. Safe very helpful and nice clean room.
I found nothing i didnt like!
I do understand why people have posted the negative reviews but my experience suggests these are somewhat harsh.
We had an excellent experience from start to finish - from friendly staff to the very comfortable beds, there's not much to fault here.
My daughter lives near by so it's a perfect affordable stop off within a 5 minute drive from hers.
Yes, there are furnishings in need of attention. I was in Rm 15 and the chair covering is pretty threadbare. The corridors have panels in need of repair etc. But it's largely quiet - even though our window faced out towards the traffic (why do they always put you facing the busy road?)
But overall hard to complain really. Oh and it's nice to have a key on a massive fob instead of these corporate room key-cards you get in most hotel chains these days.
Bar was quite cheap too.
Thanks to all your staff. We will be back soon!
It was tired, not grotty
It was more tired than it ought to have been at that price.
The tables were quite sticky, bar service wasn't amazing.
Room was worn but clean.Dated
Better attitude in receptioon desk
Room and bed comfortable and clean. Breakfast a little disappointing. Had the B & B package. Would rather had paid separately to have breakfast as there was more choice.
Breakfast
Breakfast very good and hot
N/a
The hotel is well placed just outside Reading with free car parking. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was clean, comfortable and a good size. we did not stay for breakfast but had an evening meal the night before which was excellent.
Nothing to complain about
Friendly place, good quality food and drink
Nothing to dislike
Only 2 problems unfortunately our bed was a bit uncomfortable due to a firm mattress. Also over the yrs we have stayed at the Wee Waif its getting a bit sorry for its self. Could do with a coat of paint everywhere. Staff were excellent and polite . Food good and drinks excellent. Location excellent apart from the roads in the area with too many pot holes.
As above.
