Good reasonable place to stay
Pros:

Easy to find, friendly staff, plenty of parking, great food next door at a good price. Room was dated but clean. Was ideal for an overnight stop when travelling. Will use again if in portsmouth

Tired and neglected
Pros:

We arrived pretty late from the Santander ferry. I went to the wrong entrance and entered through the bar. The barman could not have been more helpful and escorted me to the reception area. Check in more than friendly. All the staff were great, bar staff, night porter, both receptionists, breakfast waitress.

Cons:

The decor is appalling. Tired, grubby, no maintenance. The bathroom door was shredded at the bottom, and had gashes in the woodwork. The shower was an old Mira shower, at least 50 years old I would say. As a retired hotelier I would be ashamed to present this as my property to guests. The owners should hang their heads in shame.

Breakfast. No choice of tea. First day bacon hard dry and black. Egg hard . Sausage looked uncooked, as nearly cold didn’t risk eating it after the first taste. All was barely warm.. Only fruit was a tired apple or oranges. Butter in a bowl as only ‘spread’ on table. Lovely hot croissant saved the day. Second day. No butter, according to the staff ‘they had run out of butter’, no choice of tea, no fruit. Opted for scrambled eggs, but spoilt by dry toast. Only cold previously heated dark brown croissants and a chocolate chip cake. Not what I expected. The tables on

Pros:

We hadden fietsen bij ons. Ondanks dat er geen stallingsruimte aanwezig is. Werd toch geregeld dat ze veilig en droog konden staan

Bijna alles. Je zag bij aankomst al dat aan de buitenkant weinig onderhoud was gepleegd. Verder muf ruikende gangen, geen airco. Het was 33 graden die dag en er stond een alleen een waaier. De electrische luchtontvochtiger in de badkamer maakte veel herrie. Kon alleen uitgezet worden door de kamerpas vh lichnet af te halen met gevolg ...geen verlichting.
Het ontbijt was slecht geregeld en belabberd en ga zeker niet eten bij de buren

Cons:

Far away from the beach. The hotel advertised that it was only a 9-minute walk to a beach, but the beach doesn’t even appear on Google Maps, and nobody at reception could explain where it was. In reality, I had to drive around 15 minutes just to reach the nearest beach.

The breakfast was very poor and misleading compared to the advertising photos. Instead of a proper fruit bowl, there were only a few pieces of fruit on the table — two apples and one yellow orange. There were also no yogurts available at 7:20 a.m., even though breakfast had started at 7:00, which made me wonder if they had any at all that day.

There was also a strange smell in the hallway, and the room had no air conditioning, only a very small fan, which made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel did not match the description or expectations, and I was disappointed with the experience.
