Very friendly staff always there to help at what ever time the place was very clean nothing to much trouble. It did need up dating but the surroundings was very quiet and safe

When arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was very helpful and check in was spot on. The room was very nice and spacious ( a suiteroom). Nice and quite. Breakfast was ok, but there was not enough pastries( only a few mini muffins and one other thing) ask the wait staff and told they have ran out. Next morning was the same no pastries/ run out as it advertise breakfast with continental. Order two full breakfasts and one come so had to wait for other to arrived. Also had to ask for more bread. Overall the hotel was great only let down was the breakfast, staff should be more aware of product/ food running low and instead of guest telling them.

Positive = Reception staff polite and helpful. Bed comfortable.
Negative = Hotel is tired and in need of an upgrade. More attention to cleaning as we had a dead fly in a cup and our teaspoons had cleaning residue still on them, also dust on the table legs and walls with dirt splatters.Which I cleaned off. Others in our group had similar issues.
The breakfast room was not ideal and inviting for a larger group of 6.
Food is overcooked and warm at best. Asked to have another egg done runny, and although the young girl went and asked the chef, was told that they were unable to do so as they were busy with also running the pub restaurant next door. Checked next door to find only a couple of people seated, so not busy. The continental wasn't kept topped up, told more would come out in a few minutes,non ever did. Did get bread for the toaster, though. Juices and hot water are not topped up. We were seated midway through breakfast service, and as guests, we shouldn't have to keep asking for these things. There is a definite lack of leadership and mentoring with much attention needed towards attitude within the kitchen.
Overall, our experience was negative, and we will not return.

Good overall just a little moan bed was a bit hard for my back.

The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but could do with an update around the edges. It was functional rather than luxurious, I would stay again.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions, & it is just starting to get a bit tired. The panel heater had no control knob & did not work, the bathroom extractor fan screamed when running, the bearings obviously worn out. Just needs a little bit of money spent now before it gets too far gone

Parking is easy, Staff in the main are friendly and helpful.

Restautant food have become fasttfood.25 years ago it was a top notch retsaurant.

Service was extremely good with friendly welcome however the hotel rooms are in dire need of refurb and deep clean. Very uncomfortable mattress. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Room tired but ok. Bathroom terrible old and very disappointing, needing to be condemned and rebuilt.

Staff very friendly amd accommodating.
Dinner was well presented and good quality.

Rooms are beginning to show their age, but clean. Bed linen and towels clean and well mainrained. Carpets threadbare, but clean

The room was very dated, had a stale smell. Carpet had definitely seen better days.
Room was a long walk from any off the other public areas.

Obviously this is budget accommodation but the whole place could do with being decorated and some of the fixtures especially in the bathrooms being updated.
Overall an OK place to stay especially if its just for one night.

We have stayed here previously. It is very convenient for visiting family. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that the carpets could do with a clean...stained, but that is from previous occupants and no reflection on the housekeeping staff.
