Hôtel Berlioz

This is an extremely well run and friendly hotel close to Saint Louis railway station which in itself is very convenient for the Basel International Airport (10 mins by No 11 airport bus). Train station 10 mins to Basel and 1 hour to Strasbourg.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and very helpful to your needs. it is good value too.
Cannot thank the family who run the hotel enough.

We were very pleased when greeted by a delightful gentleman who was so very helpful. We were taken to our room immediately & the room was very clean with everything necessary for an overnight stay. The walk in shower was large & plenty of towels. No frills but completely adequate.
The breakfast was delightful & plentiful.
We were allowed to sit for a couple of hours before them taking us to the airport. Nothing was too much trouble & can definitely recommend staying here.

Our flight was cancelled with easyJet back to the UK and we had to find somewhere to stay near to the airport.
We booked this hotel and can honestly say it was one of the best we have stayed in.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and well decorated.
The staff were brilliant and helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in St Louis.

The service is very friendy good job to all the team . They have wifi parking clean rooms and the price is real ok . Its good and i will come if iam on travel . The breakfast also good. I go now airport see u next time .its very clean friendly lovely hotel .

Very friendly personnel, family-like welcome and service. Very clean and tidy place, COVID prevention measures are observed. Comfy room, good for a studious, quiet evening. Breakfast is copious and tasty (fresh coffee, croissant and bread), served in the elegant lobby. Less than 5mn, straight walk from the railway station, tramway to Basel and airport shuttle. Ideal for short sojourns or transit.

Small room. Cold, no heating regulator. Cramped bathroo. Water from shower went all over the floor. Only french tv in my room, would have liked some variety. Breackfast minimal acceptable buffet. Inly eggs on option were partially pre boiled eggs to finish off in stupid machine. Couldnt get a proper breakfast in 3 days there. Friendly staff but overall not great place to stay.

This is not a bad hotel but its not a really great one either. It might be typical in a small european city.

This is a very convenient overnight stop if you are using Basel airport and the nearby train station Basel St-Louis. The decor of the lobby is stylish and inviting: rooms are plainer but neat. We were there on a very hot evening, so didn't see the hotel at its best. There's no aircon in the rooms, though there is a portable fan which was quite effective. The main problem was that our room was on the ground floor at the front, so passers by were just outside our window and traffic meant we had to keep the window closed.
Nevertheless, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine. Breakfast was OK - good coffee in particular.
I'm sure other rooms would have been better for the conditions, and we would consider staying here again for the convenience of its location, only about 200 metres from the railway station. It's about 400 metres into the centre of the little town/suburb of St-Louis, where there are restaurants. Note, thoguh, that most are closed on Mondays!

The hotel photo is nothing like the actual. It is in fact dingy. There is no elevator. For those that have access issues the stairs to the floor where the hotel rooms are steep. The bathroom is tiny again those that might need ADA.

No AC or fan. Window for my room opened to the parking lot No draft.

I wouldn't return even for 1 night for a layover.

At 7am-8:30am there was a woman practicing her opera. Limbering her lungs. Very uncool. Hotel responded and did ask her to stop.

The rooms are sooo small, and the bathroom so tiny, and no elevator and I think they forgot to pay the electricity bill as the lobby is dark.

No elevator, so manage. No AC and NO fan. Manage.

Sheets are clean and towels will take the first layer of your skin off. Excellent exfoliating night.

It's perfect for 1 night, more than that you might eat your young.

Receptionist was in a bad mood so, we stayed quiet. She could turn on us so, we played it cool.

Recently refurbished, a logis-style hotel (increasingly a rarity in France) about 400m from the centre of St Louis and very close to the station, trams and buses for Basel (about 20 mins away). Room was in excellent condition and much better value than the usual French chain hotels. And particularly good value for the Basel area, so I would stay here again and just travel into Switzerland on Tram 3 or the TER train if I had to be the in the area again. Also worth mentioning that there is a bus from the airport every 30 mins that drops you off about 5 mins from the hotel (bus ride takes about 5 mins), so it was one the fastest plane to hotel transfers I've ever done (about 40 mins from landing to check-in). Breakfast was OK, but a little pricey (EUR11) for what it was.

Just 5 mins on a bus from Basel airport, or just in front of the railway station you will find this small but perfectly formed, paceful hotel; it offers more mod confs than your average for the price and the reception is helpful and attentive. Left very early to catch a flight by taxi arranged by the hotel. All worked out precisely and no stress.
