**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay!**
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything for a relaxing stay.
The atmosphere of the hotel was lovely and peaceful, and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the overall service was outstanding.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be coming back! 😊🏨
In the website the hotel room description had a balcony included in the room which we reserved. On arrival our room did not have one. Receptionist said she was not allowed to give a room with balcony because it was more expensive?? So for the first night we did not get what we had reserved and paid for. Hotel offered new room with balcony the next day but did not give us any refund from the first night. Minigolf needs repair and the kids area some maintenance overall. Otherwise nice staff and hotel, a little out of the city center.
Stayed here for 5 days on the 8th floor in a ‘superior double room with a view’. Booked with ‘Loveholidays’ who we couldn’t fault,
Reception were helpful and immediately gave us a kettle and paper cups and condiments at our request before we went up to our room, and two extra pillows when we asked for them later.
The room was lovely, seemed brand new, spacious, beautiful comfy single beds pushed together. Wall mounted flat screen tv with English music channels. Black out curtains, big wardrobe housing an easy to activate safe …and a roomy mini fridge. Perfect.
The bathroom was small but adequate with easy waterfall shower and easy modern accessories.
Cleaning service was perfect for us. The staff didn’t bother us until we asked for anything.
The lift was small but fast and we hardly ever had to wait long for it.
The view of the sea from our room was amazing and we had the morning sun on our balcony.
We found the hotel to be quite a way out but easily walkable to the sea front and the old town and the tram station was under the roundabout just outside the hotel.
The nearby shopping centre had a massive supermarket that provided everything you could want…. Although a little complicated to get to, over roads and car parks.
The pool was closed but it was lovely sunny weather and we used sun beds in the area above the pool.
We absolutely loved the hotel and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to explore Alicante.
Super good quality for the money. Versatile breakkie! Customer service depended on the ppl, most of them were nice and polite. Older lady quite crumpy at the reception. The walls are quite thin. Was able to hear people talking (quite loudly though) in the next room. Nice pool, gym and other facilities (a lot to do) and view from the balcony.
Pleasantly surprised with this Jet2 4 night break.
I expected it would be further out but it’s only a short walk or a bus ride into the centre. And a big plus is it’s on the tram line just one stop to Mercado which is great for coming back.
Couple of issues
(1) Check in
There’s nothing on the Jet2 document that I could find that says check in is 4pm?
We were offered an immediate room at an upgrade? Which we refused and a room was ready for us around 2pm. Nightmare for a 6.15am flight
(2) Breakfast
Hot food was cold
Coffee machine is totally inadequate the queues were horrendous and coffee was awful everyone was complaining
(3) Food Deliveries for guests
***********
I found this most concerning particularly for guests security
We witnessed a couple of food deliveries one on Sunday 22nd February when we arrived around 1pm. Our check in process was interrupted whilst the receptionist called the guest to collect their food from the foyer. We were again interrupted whilst the receptionist handed the food over? Rude* this should have been agreed between the driver and the guest for them to meet for the delivery it’s not hotel business and guests should not be interrupted by it!!
And the 2nd more serious for security was last night 25th February maybe around 9pm
A delivery driver was waved on into the hotel by the receptionist with food and we were forced to share the lift with this random unchecked person who got out in the 2nd floor and was wandering around the corridor looking for the guests room?
Surely this is against HOTEL SECURITY RULES FOR GUESTS PROTECTION????
We were totally shocked by this!!
Friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely inside and outside gathering spaces.
Small but well equiped gym.
Balcony looking over the sea was well worth the small amount extra.
We booked a twin room on Booking.com but on arrival they had none left which wasn't right as we had booked that, so they offered to upgrade us to a better room (i think that was just the balcony view) for 20 Euros more, we accepted but still shouldn't have had to pay more. Only other gripe was the fact you have to check in online (they bombard you with text messages and emails before arrival) and then you check in again at the desk, what's all this extra data entry for? its annoying (Management take note, nobody wants to be harassed after they have already made the booking!
Everything was fine only ín the check in was a litlle bit strange for us. The receptionists talked with each other ín spanish and laugh if somebody doesnt speak the lamgugage can think that they are whose laughing at.
The hotel is located just beneath the castle and immediately next to a tram stop for extremely convenient travel either into Alicante or off out to Benidorm. 15min walk to the beach front.
Hotel rooms were spotless. Bedding and towels changed every day. Comfortable beds and showers were powerful. Great sea views.
Breakfast provided an excellent range of options including cooked breakfast, continental breakfast, fruits and cereals.
Staff were always pleasant and helpful.
Can't fault this place. Had a great 3 night stay.
Arrived at hotel prior to check in time, able to leave luggage with reception. Getting to the hotel was easy from the airport, C6 bus €4:50 and 15mins + short walk to hotel.
Hotel was very clean, room 507 was large enough with a sea/castle view, large balcony. Bedroom had double bed, built in wardrobe and drawers, tv, fridge & ac.
Bathroom was clean but dated, shower over bath.
Buffet style breakfast was really good with plenty of choice.
Pool was closed and the gym was small, I went running outside.
Hotel was close enough to the centre, trams & buses.
A good value for money hotel.
The hotel is on a hill behind the castle and a good 30 minutes walk to the start of the centre and restaurants. There is a small shopping mall within a 10 minute walk with the usual fast food outlets.
The room (814) was spacious and clean with a great view of the sea.
The cafe/ bar was good and the drink was resonably priced in comparison to Alicante centre.
The breakfast was good with lots of choice.
On site parking(12€) was good as it would have been difficult to find a street space localy.
I had a relatively okay experience, but with many downsides. First of all, I contacted the hotel several times regarding an early check-in, as we were arriving very early after a full night of driving. They confirmed that early check-in was possible for a €15 fee. However, when we arrived, we were told that no standard rooms were available, and a staff member tried to convince us to upgrade to a superior room, claiming that this was the only option available. At first, we were asked to pay an additional €100, which was later reduced to €80. Being extremely tired, we accepted without making a bigger issue out of it. I highly doubt that there were no standard rooms available, considering it was February and not high season. It felt like the situation was taken advantage of due to our exhaustion. The second issue was that the accommodation was charged twice due to their mistake, and the money was refunded only after 48 hours. This caused problems for us, as that money was meant for our vacation.
The room itself was decent, but the toilet seat was broken and the towels were extremely worn out.
Personally, I’m not sure I would choose to stay at this hotel again, as the staff and the way guests are treated leave much to be desired. Even in a superior room, there was not even a kettle available. I asked for an iron and an ironing board and was told that I had to iron all my clothes at once and then return them immediately.
On arrival we had to get a card for the car park which cost €12 a night. Our room wasn’t ready so we went for a wander. When we got our room we were on the 5th floor with a view of the bay which was pleasant. The room was dated but fine as we were not planning on spending much time in it.
Our first night the people in the room next to us were so loud we couldn’t get to sleep. Someone else shouted and told them to shut up. I was then woken up to the couple on the other side, he was snoring and she was shouting at him to shut up. Second night pretty much the same except one of them was being sick and it was like we were in the room with them. Third night new arrivals banging doors and shouting to each other which resulted in people shouting and telling them to shut up.
Our safe wouldn’t open on our last night and we struggled to find a number for reception as it’s not on the phone. We found it on the website and were told they only have 1 key to unlock it and the guy who has it wasn’t back till 7!!! what if our flight was before that? Having one key and it being off site is ridiculous.
Breakfast was fine but if you went at busy time the queues at the coffee machines took ages.
To round up it is in perfect location to all amenities but for me sleep is important when your walking miles every day
A beautiful hotel, well situated for the beach and the trams, you can get to benidorm in 1hr15 on a day ticket for €4.80. The hotel room was spotlessly clean, great night's sleep on a good size proper double bed( not singles pushed together). Bar prices were cheaper than outside. Staff were exceptional. As a person who travels constantly and in hotels 45weeks of the year, this is definitely an excellent find. Will be back soon.
Great value hotel with spacious clean rooms and a very decent breakfast with much to choose from. Special mention to the female receptionist who checked us out on Saturday 24 January. She processed our refund and corrected our bill under immense pressure being the only member of staff on the desk at the busiest time of morning between 10:00am and 11:00. There was a couple in front of me that took at least half an hour to process and a massive queue built of people wanting to check out. She handled the pressure so well and is an excellent asset to this hotel. I’m just sorry I can’t remember her name but I think it starts with an N.
Beautiful hotel. 5 minutes from amenities and the beach
Staff were excellent and very helpful
Very clean, 100 meters from Airport Bus Stop (C6 ) , will definitely visit again.15 minutes walk into old town along the sea front.
Perfect Location, good breakfast - buffet.
Airport bus C6 only few minutes walking distance. Could walk around to see best places.
I had an amazing time in Sercotel Maya Alicante. The location was great and so close to many attractions without issue, on the doorstep of the Tram.
The staff at reception couldn’t have been more helpful and were so pleasant going over and above! There wasn’t anything that was too much of an ask.
I will definitely be back!
Great hotel. About 20 minute walk to the old town, but a beautiful walk along the esplanade. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants on the way. Perfect location for us. Clean comfortable rooms, room service available, bar really good. We did room only, so many places to eat in the area
