We were a family of 4, comprising of 2 adults and 2 children ages 4 years and 10 years.
Positives: Swimming Pools and the water slides were great. 👍
Entertainment staff work very hard and are friendly.
Room was very spacious, although very basic and dated, with a nice bathroom.
Negatives: FOOD - OMG 🤢
I really do not understand where the positive reviews about the food in this place have came from?
We only stayed there for 1 week (Thankfully)
The food was just ARWFUL!!
There are maybe 7 bambories (MAX) with all I can say was Slop in them and may I add that we are not fussy eaters and we are also fortunate to have travelled to visit many countries.
Surely as Management, you must wonder Why the Pizza que is SO Long and then wonder why there are more people standing in a huge queue for a Pizza than there are people who are at the self service food counter?
As the week went on we could see the faces of people walking down the food counter, lifting the lids on the bambories and then closing the lid with such disappointment.
As I say we have visited many countries and we are not fussy eaters and have always managed to put something on our plates, this is honestly the first all inclusive resort where I have been and came close to chosing nothing.
Also a question for Managment - Do you not feel embarrassed when there are numerous food deliveries being delivered many times a day to many people who have paid for the all inclusive option on your resort who are sitting at the tables right outside of the food restaurant during meal times ??
Ever wondered why families / Guests feels the need to Order food instead of using / eating in your restaurant?
Also there is ZERO choice of food for children other than Pizza so if you have picky eaters this is definitely not the place for you.
We found Glovo APP - For our food deliveries, Meet the drivers just outside the front of Reception, the security man out the front must also wonder why there are so many food deliveries to??
Room was not cleaned ALL week as the room cleaner wanted to come at 5pm in an evening just as we were showering or napping, she always apologised and I did explain that we were out from early Morning / All day, so if she could try and come in the mornings or earlier in the afternoons but this never happened.
Air Con = None existent - there is a thermostat which is digital so it tells you the temp inside your room, our room was 27 degrees on our arrival, we turned the temp down to our chosen room temp which was 18 degrees, we waited for an hour and NO change, We called Receptionist who sent some one down to our room, He had a Look at the thermostat and I pointed to the room temp which was still showing as 28 degrees and I told him 'It is to hot in the room' as the sweat was pouring off me 😔
The man said You have it on Max speed, (level 3 speed - 3 fans) it won't work on that, he turned it down to 2 fans (Speed) and told us that it will work now, and to wait half an hour and that we should see it start to lower the room temp, at this point I was unsure whether to start un packing or not but by this time it was 11pm and the Kids were tired after travelling.
We woke the following morning after a sweaty night's sleep, heading to breakfast, we decided to pop to Reception to inform them again that my air con was still not working, he informed us that they have the maintenance man in today so will send him up to our room.
After spending the day at the pool in the sun we were so looking forwards to walking into a chilled room but No, still not cool 🥵
Basically, we had lie after lie from Reception and repeated promises of fixing the air con but we endured the whole week in August with a room temp that didn't drop any lower than 23 degrees but this was still cooler than the temps outside.
After chatting with other guests it seemed that this was an Issue across the resort.
Most of the rooms also have NO Balcony either so ensure that your booking advises if you have a Balcony if you are expecting a Balcony.
2 out of 4 of us had upset tummies whilst there.
The other 2 have returned with an ear infection, needing antibiotics.
Bee's - Mother Nature unfortunately but if you have a Soda / fizzy drinks then expect to have tons of Bee's after it, and around you.
There is No shower or changing room if your pick up is later in the day and if there is no availability to keep your room on.
We had to use the communal toilets around by the bar to get changed in due to our pick up being later in the evening.
The big question: Would we return or would we recommend staying at this hotel to our freinds or family.
No and definitely Not (Sorry)
Everyone’s experience is different but here is mine . Arrived and was put in a room where the air con didn’t work the door had no lock on and there was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. We had a view of the carpark but your not in the room long enough to care about the view ,complained about air con ,door and ceiling 3 times ,the door was fixed and was told the air con would work which it didn’t and was waiting for someone to sort the mould but no one ever came. Next the food we have literally lived on pizza all week which is really nice and made fresh but gets boring after the 4th day. If you’re not a picky eater and you don’t have kids you will be fine because it is very limited what you can eat. Now the staff if you are French get here immediately you are treated like kings and queens , if you are English most staff ignore you and you barely get a smile . There are a lot of wasps or as they call them honey bees so make sure u bring big cups and cover over while at the pool . The pools are nice we stayed at the one next to the slides and baby pool but the kids did get friction burns off the slides so bring nappy cream . We also went out to the market on a cloudy day which was actually ok apart from a lady grabbing my hand and putting henna on me then demanding money which I didn’t pay and went and washed off immediately. So overall hotel looks nice room was ok apart from our issues most staff were ignorant and didn’t crack a smile (unless you are French) pizza were nice but the rest of the food was not to our taste as we are picky eaters so no won’t be returning again.
The location is out of the city so you will need to get taxi to get to the Central areas. It looks like a Morden hotel with some new features.
This was our family holiday the six of us, so we hoped to have a really good time, however from my check in we had a very mixed feeling about the hotel. We got to the hotel at 12:00 but our rooms were not ready when we got to the hotel, so, we had to wait till 3.30. The front desk person checked us in and said we could use the hotel facilities since we are guest now, but we need to wait for our rooms as check out is not till 12.00. So we decided to go eat lunch since the children were hungry. At about 3.30 we were given our keys to the rooms, we requested a adjacent room since we have small children that was fulfilled. No one helped us take our luggage to our room we were just shown the way and left to get there ourselves. Extremely unprofessional but we didn't let that ruin our holiday. They don't provide you with any information if you miss the meeting at 6pm on your check in day. The staff at the spa are not very welcoming and the prices are double than the prices in the centre of Marrakech. Overall the resort needs to make alot of improvements to its staff training, bar service, restaurant service and especially the front desk. At breakfast egg station doesn't start till 8am so if you are a early raiser like us then it's just cereals or toast. There is never enough cutlery or serving spoons. The staff in the restaurant are very slow most of them communicate in French so be prepared. Only one or 2 staff from the resturant were really attentive (Mustaffa) and the manger (Rachid) were very helpful always going the extra mile. There is snack time for 1hr but be prepared to wait becasue the ice cream queue takes along time and even then they scoop a tiny bit of ice cream in the cone so it's not great. Food is very blend there is alway something to eat but it's not really flavourful. Kids only had chips mostly, pizza and pasta counter is another long wait and the man serving at the pizza counter is very rude and gets flustered under pressure when the demand increases. The outside grill area is mostly fish and some meat but again no flavour at all. Be ready to take the kids out to the square for nice food like KFC, BK and many local restaurants within 10 minutes drive. The outside bar staff are overworked and it shows in the service. There is a water spray feature that keeps you cool in the heat thought.
The housekeeping is the best thing at the resort they do their job very well especially lady named (Fatima) she was alway on point.
The entertainment guys do a great job, especially (MOMO) he is very entertaining. After dinner they do quizzes and games but mostly in French so be prepared for that.
The nail the coffin for us was at checkout when out transfer came we were not thanked by the hotel for our custom. It felt really bad and like we didn't matter at all. No one from the reception said goodbye or any other greetings. This is by far the worst resort we have stayed in. I would suggest people to look else where to stay for their holiday so they don't end up wasting their money. lastly pool towels are not free, bring your own or pay €10 per towel as deposit.
This is a GREAT Hotel - by far the best we have stayed in out of all the North African states. Here are some points of information for all of you from my honest point of view
* Change uk pounds on site for best ER’s and defo not in UK Airports !!!! Here you’ll get 11 MD’s for £1 - Airport will mug you off at 7 to a £1
* This Hotel is around 20 mins from the airport via private transfer
* Download in drive for cheap cabs if you want to but these are not regulated like uber
* Check in is 1500 but we got to the hotel at 10am and they gave us 2 rooms (next to each other by 11am so big up to the reception staff (Abdulghani) for sorting this out
* Rooms are massive !
* Bathrooms are okay; showers have great water pressure and the water is hot too
* Lighting in rooms not great so a bit of a challenge when shaving or doing makeup etc
* AC in bedrooms only and 1 section of main restaurant however, the areas without AC are still comfortable
* There is an al la carte restaurant you can visit for free - traditional dishes and AC’d in there
* Rooms cleaned and towels changed every day by the amazing cleaning staff
* Bring your own towels for the pool chairs as you have to leave a deposit for the hotel ones
* Rooms have small fridges
* Food is AMAZING and caters for all - can’t fault it
* Can get busy in restaurant but it’s well managed and tables always available
* Restaurant staff are on point and there are loads of them
* Only one bar open during the day which is by the pool but they manage the queues well; second indoor one opens at 1500
* In August, it’s very hot so be prepared for that (46 degrees at times) best to go out in the mornings for excursions
* There is a twice daily free shuttle to old town and the new city which are both worth visiting
* The staff are very polite and go out of their way to help so don’t be a d£&k when engaging, and treat them with respect and courtesy
* Most of the staff speak French 🇫🇷 and some English but they defo try to assist you
* There is not much around the hotel footprint so take the opportunity to do the excursions; best to book in the hotel with the dedicated reps as its probably safer (we used Mustafa)
* There is a nurse on site but if you need a doctor it will cost you circa £50 a pop
* Drinking water is served in bottles or from filtered fountains - don’t drink the tap water
* Hotel is extremely clean and staff always keeping things looking top notch
* Drinks are varied and you can also pay for the known UK labels if you prefer
* 5 pools plus a small kids pool
* Pool Slides are a bonus for kids and adults
* Normal d£&kheads that reserve sun beds at 5am but more than enough to go around, plus grass you can also sit on
* Snacks and ice cream in the afternoon for 1 hr only but queues get long
* Not many people from the uk here, seems to be loads of locals in August plus lots of French nationals
* defo a family friendly place
* Be realistic; this is not the Dorchester but the staff treat you like royalty, so leave your rudeness and unrealistic expectations at home - don’t be a d£&k when visiting here
* Use Dhirams only for best value for money
* Haggle everything divide the asking price by 4 and work from there - you’ll get mugged off otherwise
* Night time entertainment is good
* Pool entertainment is great and they go to a lot of effort in the heat
* There are entertainment staff that will keep your kids amused during the day
* There is an operational kids club contrary to previous reviews
* There’s a gym on site - very very basic; selection of quality dump bells, a bench, Olympic bar and a smith machine plus cardio machines - it’s free !
* Treatment rooms on site normal UK prices
* Kids had their own room; it had a broken light which was fixed within 30 mins of reporting so they’re on point when it comes to maintenance
* Rooms have a safe and ample storage space but we kept valuables locked in suitcases as I’m paranoid
* WiFi everywhere in hotel, around pools and in rooms - it’s fast and reliable
* There’s a pizza parlour attached to the restaurant during mealtimes which also does pasta
* There is a shop on site but it’s very expensive so bring snacks from home for kids
* Lots of seating available in the hotel to chill on
* Spurious previous comments / reviews re Staff being racist to UK nationals - this is a load of poop, we experienced none of that at all
* We had a great time - this hotel is amazing and staff are very very nice to guests - the bad reviews are probably from people who come here with stupid expectations and bad attitudes. It’s clean, tidy and well presented; you’ll go home with a very full belly and a cracking tan - what else do you want ??
Overall the hotel was beautiful and clean. The biggest disappointment was the food, it was fresh but horrible and the chaotic drama at every meal time was horrendous, you either had no plates, no glasses or no seats. There was no food for kids at all apart from chips once a day at lunch. It’s the first holiday we’ve been on where we were actually hungry a lot of the time. 99% of the staff were amazing like mustapha who was the kindest guy but the old guy doing pizzas was rude and disrespectful and made it clear he didn’t like brits. Hotel in the middle of NOWHERE so do some research. Also the evening entertainment was spoken all in French so you have no clue, I do feel British are very singled out here. I would not go back to this hotel or Marrakesh
Upon arrival (4 hours late due to sand storm and being diverted to casablanca) quick check in but when we asked if any food or drink left for us due to the delay, we were simply told no everything is shut...order a takeaway if your hungry....not a good start. our other dealings with reception were not good at all, i went to ask for a late check out and the girl on the desk was to busy on her mobile to notice me stood in front of her when she eventually spoke she was quite rude and unhelpful, went back on the day of departure ( as requested ) to inquire about late check out the man didnt even check just a blunt NO, i asked if there is any facilities to shower/freshen up..again an abrupt NO...i got the feeling that because we are english they didnt want to help.
Restaurant.... Unorganised chaos....every meal time and i mean EVERY meal time we had to ask for a table to be cleared/cleaned before we could sit thats if we could find one at all, also you could not find glasses/plates always had to ask for them. We also noticed the amount of food wasted by guests was an absolute joke, people taking more food that they could possibly eat, you would think they had never seen food before and i can 100% say none of these greedy people were English. The hotel really needs to look at introducing 2 sittings for meals because they cant cope with a full restaurant... no fault of the staff they work hard trying to keep things going.
On a positive note the food and drink were good quality.
The hotel is nice the pools are really good entertainment was good.
The best thing about it was the staff (except reception staff) they work really hard,
special mention to Mustafa the life guard always helpful and polite and ASH (achran) the barman really pleasant and friendly, the poolside bar staff were really good too.
We met some lovely people there.
Would not return to this hotel mainly because of reception staff and the chaotic restaurant.
Staff are friendly and keep you and the kids entertained day and night
We have just returned from a 10 night stay here, there were 11 of us in total ranging from 12 to 78, we all had a great time, hotel clean and well maintained. Gardens and public areas always being kept neat and tidy.....the pools were great, cleaned each morning, the water slides were great and managed well by lifeguards to keep everyone safe... rooms were nice and clean and housekeeping team all friendly, the only downside was none of us had a balcony but we got over it pretty quickly...breakfast was nice, they do take a while to put stuff out but there was plenty of choice. Lunch was nice, not overly much choice but we all really enjoyed what we had, they have a pizza station and a pasta station so the kids enjoyed that, they also have a bbq on each lunch time which again was really nice. Dinner was also lovely, again not much choice but everything we ate was delicious and cooked really well. Mr Rasheed in the restaurant was great, as there was so many of us they reserved a table for us each lunch and dinner time, the man who cleared our table in the evening was very attentive, unfortunately i dont remember his name. The snacks in the afternoon were nice, although we mainly only had the ice cream. Tennis court, volleyball court and a football pitch were good, the kids used the football pitch and some of our group hired the tennis rackets and balls for a deposit which you get back after. The cosy bar was lovely, all staff were great, especially Achraf, he was amazing. Pool bar great and again the men behind the bar were excellent. Entertainment seemed to be the same 2 singers in the evening but we weren't too fussed about that, we sat in the pool bar during the evening as not much seating near the entertainment but again we weren't fussed about watching it. The entertainment team seemed lovely and always said hello. We got the free bus from the hotel into Marrakech which was good, the people were all really friendly and not overly pushy at all. All in all we had a really great time and I would recommend the hotel.
From when we arrived the reception staff were very helpful, we arrived about 9pm and were directed to the dining room for dinner before we checked in. After checking in our cases were taken to our rooms, there were 6 of us in 3 rooms. Rooms were very clean and were kept that way throughout our stay. Good size television on wall, hair dryer in bathroom, safe in wardrobe and fridge with large bottle of water in it. Bar staff were all excellent, very attentive as were the dining room staff. Staff made certain England games were on in Cozy Bar. Day excursions through hotel were excellent and value for money. All in all an excellent holiday.
What an absolutely beautiful hotel. The interior is immaculate as are the grounds.
The rooms are lovely, fridges, air con, tvs. Ample size bathrooms. 6 pools, water slides, clubs, gym and an absolutely sensational spa. I highly recommend a massage, those women are sensational. The dining room is vast and the food selection everyday is sensational. The fresh make pizza and pastas and the array of local foods, salads, breads, fuits is top notch and all fresh everyday. But what reall makes this hotel and its whole atmosphere is entirely down to the staff.
From the manager to the gardeners, everyone is so friendly and welcoming and greets you consistently with a smile on their face. A wonderful place to relax and chill out.
They offer clubs and excursions as you'd expect and a shuttle bus into the new and old towns.
We stayed here last week, my review is true and accurate and based on our experience. Spacious hotel, check in was friendly and as we arrived in the morning we had to wait for our room which was to be expected. Once our room was ready we was shown to our interconnecting room which was spacious and nice and the Aircon was great. The staff were also very nice from cleaners to bar staff.
The food was hit and miss and a couple of times we struggled to find something we could eat and enjoy, the pizza station was the go too for our kids but I was surprised they were not allowed to go up for another pizza on a few occasions as the guy who was making them told them they were only allowed 1...very strange as we were all inclusive.
Most of the entertainment team were ok but we felt we weren't welcomed as well as other nationalities and one guy took my son's girlfriend's mobile phone to take a video but he decided it would be a good idea to add her on what's app and then message her to ask her thoughts she was good looking and asked her age, obviously she didn't reply and because of this he was quite awful with us as he wanted even look at us all. When my son's girlfriend wanted to sing karaoke he blanked our table until we got his attention and as he took her song choice he made no eye contact or acknowledgement to any of us, when she got up to sing he had a go at her a couple of times as she said it was the wrong song which led to her getting frustrated with his words and told him so also. At the end of the night my son's girlfriend had a go at him and told him a few home truths and his response was to walk away mumbling. He did, however apologize for his behaviour so will give him that.
The all inclusive bars closed at 11pm and the lads behind the bar in cosy bar and pool bar were absolutely fantastic. They did have a sports bar which was a paid bar after the main ones closed and I went there to watch the France v Paraguay game and a lot of french and Morocco people in there, I left at 1am and it was still open so I thought brilliant I'll go in there to watch the England v Mexico game...what happened next blew me away and made me very upset. I got in there about 11.30pm, sat down with my drink that I got from the all inclusive bar ready to order a paid drink when that was finished. Next thing the manager came over and said you have to leave, no English allowed. What the hell I thought? Why do I have to leave? We are closing now and you have to leave. At this point I was livid and was told then that you English have to watch the game in the conference room but no drinks are allowed...talk about discrimination and a slight hint of racism towards English paying customers. This behaviour was also the same to other English couples after I left the bar...in my opinion that is disgusting, I pay my holiday the same as everyone else and to be treated like this is terrible.
Would I go to that hotel again, not a chance!!
No problem with the rooms or majority of the staff but management needs to have a good hard look at themselves as I never expected to be discriminated against for paying an English guest.
Perfect!
We had the most wonderful holiday here! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every single member of the staff was friendly, professional, and always smiling. No matter what we needed, they were always happy to help and solved every little problem with a smile. They made us feel like the most important guests in the hotel.
I stayed here with my 12-year-old son, and we both absolutely loved it. We almost didn't want to go home!
The pools were fantastic, the rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The music throughout the day created the perfect holiday atmosphere, making every moment even more enjoyable.
The food was delicious with plenty of choice, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly everywhere in the hotel. There were always enough sunbeds by the pools, so there was never any need to wake up early to reserve one. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the hotel's beautiful design made everything feel elegant and relaxing. It was also nice that smokers had designated areas and didn't feel excluded.
Everything about this hotel was simply perfect. The atmosphere, the service, the facilities, and the people made this one of the best holidays we have ever had.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended! ❤️
Very good hotel, staff were brilliant with our family and fantastic with the kids. Great hotel
My husband and I had a fantastic short break away for his birthday. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the holiday. Breakfast and lunch with good meals but the evening meal not so good as there wasn’t much variety but the staff are amazing. I’d like to thank Achraf who works in the bar. He was such a professional bar man he suggested drinks that we might like and then when we decided he remembered all the time so thank you for the bar staff in the cozy bar especially Ash I hope to return soon.
Brilliant hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We didn’t leave the resort as we had four children with us but the hotel was great so we didn’t feel we had to leave. Food was very nice for the adults, fresh pizza and pasta for the kids. My only recommendation would be to have fries available for dinner time too. Plenty of options. Cocktails were lovely, husband enjoyed the beer. Room was spotless, cleaned every day and new towels and bedding provided. Entertainment in the evening was good. We really really enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely recommend.
We are currently staying in this hotel and couldn’t fault it for anything. Food is lovely, all kinds of different meats fish pastas, salad bars and the nicest cakes I’ve had at hotels. Place is absolutely spotless and staff are so friendly and hardworking even in the blistering heat all day. Rooms cleaned every day and very comfortable beds. Can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely return.
Good wasn’t the greatest out of the hotels I have stayed in but was ok. We didn’t starve even if it was pizza every night. Rooms good. Entertainment was mostly in French so couldn’t understand much of what was going on. All the music was French or Arabic ….
Lovely break had an enjoyable time entertainment te are very enthusiastic and fun loved the music by the pool
Amazing food, facilities and entertainment.
It’s great hotel great food
Staff couldn’t be more friendly
Really clean 5 star
