It was great!
Lovely two story basic cabanas. The place is a little more than tired. The pool was green. The pugs were friendly. The staff fell over backwards to assist you and Breakfast was great. Nothing fancy and yes a cold shower on a cool morning did send a chill up my spine .
Muy buen servicio, las habitaciones muy limpias y agradables.
Out of town and quiet. Clean rooms with decent size pool. Showers weren't airways hot and the restaurant wasn't open when we stayed - not even serving coffee and juices. The AC in our room was faulty. Overall we had a relaxing stay though.
El hotel es bastante acogedor, tipo rústico pero bonito! La alberca daba el aspecto q estaba medio sucia pero talvez es por el medio en el q se encuentra el hotel, sin duda volvere y lo recomiendo sin pensarlo!!
It is a nice hotel a little off the strip towards the end but it is a short walk maybe 5 to 10 min walk to all the activities and restaurants and the staff was friendly. i was kinda scared because towards the end of the strip there isn't any street lights its a little dark for about 2 blocks before you get to the main area. overall good experience only complaint would be the hot water wasn't very hot it was like warm. they didn't have TV but i didn't mind the AC was nice and strong though when i went it wasn't very hot.
Almohadas grandes y duras, colchon muy duro...
Buena zona, lejos del ruido, pero muy incomodo para dormir
The problem is that the units all all in a row and the units on the end never get hot water. The manager did come over and opened a valve outside and ran a bunch of water on the ground and we got warm water. The next day they gave us a up grade one that was closer to the hot water tank and we had hot water. The sign by the road was not lite so it was hard to find at night.
The staff were nice, but we left before our reservation was over due to a number of factors.
The hotel is far enough out of downtown Tulum to not only be inconvenient but also scary to travel to at night. It is far enough down the main road that there are no street lights for a portion of the walk. I would recommend not making this walk alone, just take a taxi instead.
The rooms were noticeably built by hand; there are gaps in the corners of the walls and under the doors that allow in many (large, scary...) bugs. You could hear every move of the upstairs neighbors. The rooms were dark, especially the bathroom which was more creepy than quaint. The showers were nice and hot though, but I felt I needed to wear flip flops while showing. We also discovered that water ran down the walls of our room when the upstairs neighbors showered, which was the last straw that lead to our departure.
Loved this place right away. The effort they took to make this a greenery place was commendable. I am definitely coming back here.
The Green Tulum is on the outskirts of “downtown” Tulum. It is a funky property in a jungle like setting. Lots of quirky touches like the seashell light fixtures and faucets. It’s not spotless or perfectly built but it has lots of charm and a lovely setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. They only serve toast and coffee for breakfast but lots of good food options less than a half mile away. A mile or two to the beach town of Tulum which has everything you could want in a tropical setting. White sand beaches gorgeous restaurants, massage, yoga, shopping. There you’ll pay several times more for a room on the beach. Green Tulum is a great low budget option.
It was very disappointing the roof leaked and we had a wet bed . they advertised a health club and restaurant - neither if which really exist and hard to find- a long way out of town.
- Hot water didn't work and always had to take cold showers
- Not close to the beach or downtown area
- Wifi doesn't work in rooms
- Room roof leaked when it rained
- Hotel was close to a major road with lots of trucks driving by at night
Wi-Fi wasn't working. It was a very rustic site, but a pleasant stay, as a result of the staff.
We booked it not realizing it is just off the main road, a bit loud with trucks and not an easy walk into downtown Tulum. Great pool th9ugh an cool set up of rooms up and down with hammocks on many of the porches and balconies. I would say a bit expensive for what you get- basic room with a bed and great mosquito netting, but musty smelling for sure. However, the staff was great. They were very patient with getting my friends and me rooms that were one above the other-we wanted to be close. They really worked to make it happen, all in a downpouring rain with smiles on their faces.
Very difficult to find; terrible/limited parking; roaches, roaches, roaches; no wi-fi in room, despite asking numerous times.
The room was nice, but open. The problem with that was you could hear everything outside such as trucks driving by the major road, or people getting back in at 1:30am from partying. Wifi was free but didn't extend well to the room, so it was cutting in and out. Parking was limited and inefficient so ended up having to park out on the street.
The rooms are cabanas in a mini jungle, 15 minutes from the Main Street in town. I can see how it would appeal to lots of people however you need to have torch/flashlight as the lights in the room are so dim, I could barely see.
The restaurant and bar didn't seem to be open which was a shame.
I was disappointed and a little annoyed to find that there was no hot water for a shower in the morning especially as it cost £97 for the night.
I like the concept but i think it under delivers. The bed is quite small for two people. The bathroom is tiny. There is only one small mirror, and it's in the bathroom, so if you're a woman you'll have a hard time getting dressed and ready. The cabanas are very close to each other, and you can hear everything coming from upstairs or side rooms.
The overall feel of the place is nice. Very green, however, i stayed at another place in Tulum, and "green" isn't hard to find...
The accomodation is very basic, my room didn't have air conditioning and the fan didnt penetrate through the mosquito net so it was a very uncomfortable night.
