Not sure how it has a four-star rating.
Pros:

This hotel is at best a lower level Holiday Inn by US standards. Mold in bathroom, old comforter and bedding, inoperable A/C and room safe. Breakfast was included and OK. Staff with breakfast very nice. Very loud street noise, so make sure to get a back room. Location was walkable to sites. Not sure how it’s gotten a four-star rating. We checked mattress before sleeping there.

Hotel in great location but possibly won’t be back.
Pros:

The situation was superb, close to restaurants and bars. Also close to bus stops and the tourist Red Bus - Hop on, Hop Off. Very central.

Cons:

The staff, without exception, on the front desk could not speak English very well (I hasten to add that I don’t speak Italian BUT I’m not in the Hotel sector!) and they certainly DID NOT tell us any information on buses, restaurants etc etc. Also they were not very friendly as when you were coming in and going out they very rarely even looked up from the desk! They all should be sent on a Hotel Hospitality Course. On the other hand the lady cleaning our room was very friendly and also the lady (Giovanni) in the breakfast room was extremely pleasant, helpful and went out of her way to get you anything you asked for - and always with a smile.

The hotel’s location, the breakfast, and the staff were excellent.

Cons:

Our room had no window. We booked two rooms with our friends at the same price; theirs had a terrace and was bright, while ours was dark and had no window or terrace. The walls in the rooms were also very thin.

Decent value and comfortable close to historic center
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent.
Bed was comfortable
Just outside the historic center (10 minute walk).
TV had some English channels

Cons:

Room was on the main road and noisy at night.
Didn't like that there was no TV channel listing.
Shower very small. Even though the bathroom was big.

Hotel cerca del centro.
Pros:

La ubicación a 10 minutos andando de la zona centro. El personal muy agradable tanto la chica de recepción como los empleados de la cafetería donde daban el desayuno.

Cons:

Las instalaciones no corresponden a un hotel de 4 estrellas. Una de las habitaciones sin ventilación, con una ventana horizontal, estrecha y pegada al techo. Da sensación de claustrofobia. No se avisa de eso en la descripción. Pedí cambiarla pero el hotel estaba completo y fue imposible. El baño necesita una actualización, en la base de la ducha hay suciedad como de moho. Falta de insonorización, se oía muy fuerte el ruido de la cisterna de la habitación contigua.
