Dejligt hotel. Dog lidt lyst kunne høre når naboen snakkede
Parfait, combo hôtel, SPA, soins, restaurant gastronomique…
We booked this hotel at the last moment on our way back home. What a fantastic place. The level of service was some of the best we had seen for ages. The quality of food deserves a Mechlin star or two. In particular, and I’m guessing he was the head waiter helped us both with the menu without being condescending. His suggestions were spot on. Yes it is a little expensive but you get what you pay for and much more.
I chose this hotel for a one-night business trip and was very pleased with the room and also the breakfast. The staff were very helpful and helped with my late arrival (midnight) by making a special arrangement for the room key. The air conditioning in the room was excellent and I slept like a log.
This hotel was a last, last minute booking. We arrived at our originally booked hotel to find it had the air of a knocking shop and so cancelled on the spot.
Did a search on Expedia and found the Relais du Silence an hour away with a family room available. Reserved via Expedia and then drove over to the hotel .
Staff were very attentive on check in. The family room was 2 rooms with interconnecting door. Very good.
The hotel restaurant is very good quality. It's not the cheapest but the food was superb.
Perfect place to rest on our motorcycle trip around France
Our 2nd visit as a halfway stopover from the south of France. The roads in the village have all been resurfaced since last year! The reception areas have been tastefully remodeled. We'd booked a quadruple room for us and our two young daughters. On arrival we were offered a double and separate twin. Both rooms at one end of the main building (overlooking the the pool area), with no other rooms in that section. Perfect!. Rooms were spotless, comfortable and newly decorated. We had use of facilities such as air con, free wi-fi etc. We ate in the restaurant. A fine-dining experience for us and also a great introduction for our children to quality restaurant dining. The atmosphere was friendly, not stuffy and very family orientated - making us very welcome. We were one of four families using the restaurant with young children. We are not great french speakers but do our best and we had no difficulty at all with communicating with the staff or reading the menu. In turn, the staff spoke limited English, but they also did a magnificent job of making sure we all understood the menu, details for breakfast etc. The food was top standard and as such, we felt the price was very reasonable. Breakfast was of the type expected in France - the bread, pastries, croissants etc were all fresh. Local cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurts, fresh orange juice & ham. The accommodation was inexpensive (we were not charged for extra room). We enjoyed the pool - very pleasant. Will stay again.
Hotel front featured in web photo was being re-built. WiFi didn't work. Asked for double and 2 single (for children) but got 2 doubles. Staff very pleasant.
Ideal distance for stop over on way to alps. Clean functional hotel in terms of rooms. It sort of looks like the pictures. If everything else was the same it would be an ok, average but perfectly fine place to stay.
However...the food was really very very good. 2 set menus of 4 or 6 courses as well as a la carte. Local produce, proper cheese trolley and a very good/extensive wine list. Attentive and polite staff all positives.
It took a while to find the hotel as it was quite a long way from the motorway, and the road directly outside was rough gravel as it was in the process of being dug up! A bit too far for us, but as accommodation was limited in that area there wasn't much choice.
I would suggest you only book this Hotel if you can speak and read French. None of the staff could speak English and the menu in the Restaurant was only written in French. A bit frustrating when we only know a bit of French.
The Restaurant only served an a'la carte menu and was very expensive (not ideal for Children). There was no where else to eat in the village either.
The room was a good size and fairly clean other than a couple of dead flies on the floor!
We picked this place as an affordable stopover between London and the French Riviera with a pool for the kids. It fit the bill perfectly. The pool was good for the little kids . The room was adequate, nothing special, and we nipped into Chaorce for a nice simple dinner at the pizzeria. A great stopover for a good price.
We arrived late after the pool had closed but the owner saw the disappointment in my children's faces and opened up for us, all the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room decor was so 80's I was expecting Duran Duran or ABC to knock on the door and ask where the party was, very clean though with a great shower. The highlight of the visit however was the restaurant which offers 5 star gourmet food - we splashed out and had the top menu with a different wine with every course, not cheap at 68 euros but worth every penny and a great way to spend our last night in France. We wil definitely return.
A generally good stop over. The room was clean on the whole but the shower mouldy. The family room we had was next to the laundry and we could hear machines going all night. Breakfast was very expensive and not good. The cereal was stale, there were no bowls to put it in so I used a cup and the selection for the price was poor. Dinner in the evening and service were excellent.
The hotel was in a very small village but was very clean and comfortable. The rooms seemed to have been recently decorated and the bathroom had a very modern shower. The staff were helpful and most of them spoke good English. The breakfast was good.
We were looking for a hotel with a good meal for an overnight stop on our way back home, and this didn't disappoint. It's 40 minutes from Chablis (so ideal to fill your boot with a few extra bottles before heading to the hotel) and a good drive back to Calais. The hotel looks to have been built some time ago, but renovated fariy recently. Our room, in the Annex, was quiet with a good, clean bathroom. The restraunt and bar was excellent, although our early start made the extensive Champagne list a little redundant.
We found staff were friendly and helpful. It helped that we tried our best to speak French as they do not speak much English. Our rooms were in separate blocks (probably because two 3 bed rooms which is awkward) which was not ideal, but ok for just one night. One room a bit tired/disappointing but seemed to be refurbishment happening. The delicious dinner (and decent breakfast too) more than made up for the room and we would visit again for more lovely food and to further explore the beautiful surrounding area. (ps. The swimming pool was completely out of action, so perhaps only a feature in the summer?)
Aux Maison proved to be a comfortable stopover on the way south. Its a bit off the beaten track but worth it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with an excellent shower. We had a great nights sleep and the very good breakfast set us all up for the journey south.
This hotel is in a very tranquil situation in a picturesque small village about 20km from Troyes. Our room was recently refurbished and quite clean and comfortable. The service was adequate. Dinner was excellent.
