Excellent & friendly staff.
Pros:

The hotel was great value for money, and the desk staff amazingly helpful and friendly. It is situated in a useful location a short walk to the train station, and by the river. It was easy to walk into town or to Caversham centre. I stayed a couple of nights and it was very quiet; plus the air con was an essential with the summer heat!

Cons:

The room was very basic, and could have done with a small table, chair and somewhere to put clothes. Apart from that is was fine considering the budget price.

Disappointing overall from start to finish.
Pros:

- Good central location
- The bed was comfortable and clean at least
- Bathroom was mostly clean

Cons:

- Only one towel was put out for a two-person stay. Had to request additional from reception.
- No toilet paper was in the room. Had to request from reception.
- Shower head almost completely blocked with limescale.
- No tea/coffee making facilities in room
- No table/chairs in room
- No window in room
- TV wall mounted at such an angle that you couldn't see it properly from the bed
- AC control in room was initially locked at 27 C during a heatwave. Asked reception about this, they had no clue what I was talking about. Had to go into the depths of the menu to manually set the boundaries for cooling (and heating), and do this every 3 hours because it was under central control.

OK but bit disappointing overall.
Pros:

Comfortable bed, good wifi, good shower etc. There were no windows although a blessing as it was a very hot day on arrival.

Cons:

Smart TV was useless - could not get terrestrial TV channels. Staff no inclined to help on this either.

The staff were nice but the rooms really need some attention fast. Don’t think I’ll be back

It was down the road from town

Cons:

The rooms are really small I mean no room to walk around or even out your luggage. The wall were dirty had black hand prints and smudges down the wall. Also the air conditioning was set at 21 couldn’t go no lower and wasn’t very powerful.

Unhelpful Reception
Pros:

The location + Cancealation Policy

Cons:

This hotel was marginally cheaper than other, but with substantially less facilities

What particularly bothered me, is that after few days stay, the reception guy, was not agreeing to keep my luagage for an hour.

Great stay
Pros:

It was a comfortable and pleasant night. Air condition was great. Bed, pillow and duvet was comfy. Water pressure in shower was great. Hotel has few parking space which I could park made my day easy! Location is walkable from trains station. Every space is thoughtful and functional! Front desk staff was excellent and welcoming.

None.

Not too far to walk to and from station , cheap last minute booking. Ok for late check in and checkout at 10am no other

Last minute booking, £55 on a Saturday night.
Night light on all night
24hr reception

Cons:

A very basic room with no window ! No tea or coffee no kettle.
Wheelchair accessible room with accessible large bathroom.
Ok size room but bed was very low and set in a cramped corner def not very suitable for a disabled person unless very short in height / and was hardly possible to walk around the other side of the bed as it was almost at far end wall with a little gap at end of bed too.
Bed felt dampish like bedding had not been properly dried.
Very noisy through wall and people tramping up and down the stairs . and voices heard clearly .
