It did the job. I was spending Christmas with relatives nearby. I didn’t really meet anyone who worked there other than
Pros:

It was a clean, comfortable room and had a decent shower. There was quite harsh lighting which might not bother others. I have sensory sensitivity so I took out the main bulb and just had the vanity on instead of the bedside lamps.

Cons:

It didn’t feel that secure. No code or key to get in so the outside door was open all day and night with no manned reception after hours. No safe meant I took all valuables when I went out. The fire alarm also tripped twice during the visit - the second time in the night.

Having stayed here - this being my third occasion, I would book this hotel again without reservation
Pros:

Room: This was clean and bedding was comfortable and a good range of channels available on the TV. While WiFi was available I had no cause to use it.
Breakfast: A good range of food and cereals available and good quality.
Dinner: Due to a late arrival we did not dine. However, having done so on previous visits, the food was excellent, and friends that were already staying in the hotel assured me this was still assured me this was stillthe case

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike at the Limes. Ample free parking and easy access to the motorways that were only a few miles away from the hotel.

Poor
Pros:

Breakfast

Cons:

Fire alarm went off at night and no staff came out to say it was ok to go back in or why it had gone off. Room was noisy and radiator made very loud noises in the night. Had to warm room up when I arrived as windows were open and radiator off even though it was freezing outside. Bar area was cold, had to take my meal to my room to eat. Reality did not match the pictures on the website.

Well placed hotel with efficient and welcoming staff.
Pros:

Location excellent and a quiet spot for us to spend the night. Well presented and furnished room, very spacious. Clean and modern furnishings. Breakfast very good and prepared quickly. Staff very friendly and helpful - especially Mandy. Thanks!

Cons:

There were a couple of small maintenance snags that were noticeable but nothing that negatively impacted our stay. Room was clean and well presented very modern but showed some signs of wear.

Hot hot hot
Pros:

The gardens were nice and the price was cheap

Cons:

It was an unusually hot day and the bedrooms were like a furnace. There was no AC or even a fan and the windows were tiny and only opened a crack. Even in moderately warm temperatures the rooms would feel stuffy. Didn’t sleep a wink. Very slow food service and average menu.

Perfect for a one nighter.
Pros:

I was not informed that the Hotel did not serve an evening meal on Sundays. However, our room (a little small) was warm, clean and comfortable, although only one seat was provided for two people. We ordered an Uber meal which arrived very quickly (Thai) and was very good. We were able to order draught beer at the bar. Very helpful and friendly lady staff member (Kelly). Bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless with a strong shower and white bath towels, soap from dispensers. Breakfast was serve yourself although I only wanted coffee, cereal and toast( charged). Full cooked breakfast could be made to order (at a charge). Pleasant grounds. We liked the place.
Uber was very useful, taxi from Earlswood station and our meal.

Cons:

No information about lack of Sunday dinner. One seat in bedroom. Room doors which banged shut.

Not what id expect from a country lodge
Pros:

Location to work was good

Cons:

Food was not every nice
Breakfast was dripping in fat
Music playing in courtyard passed 10.30
Lights under window going on and off every 5 min from 8-10 pm
Carpet in room 12 needs replacing rippled up and coming away from wall
Burn mark in carpet
To order room service you have to go to the bar which is right next to the dinning room so pointless
