It was brilliant, close to the village and restaurants, easy access to Loch Ness
Pros:

It had character, great location, very Scottish which we loved, breakfast was lovely and Leanne was extremely friendly and welcoming, couldn’t fault anything. We treated my elderly aunt to a few days away and this was perfect

Das Frühstück war gut und die (mit einem Kamin angenehm beheizte) Bibliothek gemütlich.

Cons:

Die Zimmer waren eiskalt und nur mit einem Ölradiator ausgestattet, der auch noch per Zeitschaltung maximal 2h lief.

Avoid at all costs
Pros:

Absolutely nothing it was filthy I took pictures of just how bad it was. Dark and Dreary haven't been in a worse hotel ever!!!!!! So bad we would not take the breakfast included we went straight up to Inverness and paid for breakfast there. Curtain did not block out light. Mould in bathroom chips in sink surround mushroom colored bathroom fittings bedroom had damp smell

Sheets and duvet cover and pillowcase were clean

If you liked the hotel in 'The Shining' then you need to stay here
Pros:

The location speaks for itself.
The staff are trying their best, the lady on reception was very helpful
The breakfast offer (hot and cold) wasnt too bad

Cons:

A shame that the Owners/Management have abandoned this property to spin out of control with ancient decor and facilities .It would be easy to lay the boot in but i won't. Certainly not worth the money.

Faded glory - we would not come back

Location was good. Breakfast was okay.

Cons:

Musty smell in the corridor, uncomfortable beds. Small pillows and thin duvets. Dirty bathmat. Only a dribble of hot water to the sink. Plug in sink did not work. No central heating so the room was cold although was a heater. The room felt as though it had not been updated for at least two decades. The view was over a derelict shed.

Location was good

Cons:

It is an old hotel with great character but our room was very very smelly, fausty and moldy the bed was terrible and every time we moved the smell was horrendous, no bar open and never really seen anyone there .
Breakfast was OK but staff didn't acknowledge us what so ever will not return.

Was not value for money. Sub standard heating.
Pros:

Location was ok and the breakfast was good.
Staff were also helpful.

Cons:

Heating was sub standard on a timer two hours at a time so was freezing overnight.
Smoke alarm was set off by someone at 6am they should upgrade the facilities heating and extractor fans in the bathrooms.

Pros:

Il faisait très humide dans les chambres. Il n'y avait qu'un petit radiateur électrique fonctionnant maximum 2 heures pour chauffer la chambre et tenter de chasser l'humidité.
Breakfast très bon.

L odeur de humidité dans la chambre et pas de connexion wifi dans notre chambre
