Gstaad Palace

My Husband and I stayed at Gstaad Palace for 3 nights to celebrate my 40th Birthday earlier this Month.
I am still overwhelmed at how truly special this Hotel is and the Exeptional service we received from the second we booked to the second we left.
We were upgraded on arrival to a Mountain Veiw Cosy room and i was actually in tears at how Stunning the room and Veiw was , and what a lovely suprise to have a bottle of Champagne on ice in the room for us!

The staff are so welcoming, polite and helfpul, always with a smile on their face .
The food is 5* annd i especially enjoyed the breakfast in Le Grand every morning, with stunning veiws of the snowy Mountains!
The Spa is the most luxurious i have ever been to, an experience like no other.
I have fallen in love with Gstaad Palace , and want to thank all the staff for such an unforgettable experience.

I rarely write reviews, but Gstaad Palace truly deserves one.
From arrival to departure, everything feels effortlessly first-class: discreet, warm, and impeccably managed. The staff are the real signature of the Palace — not “polite service,” but genuine hospitality with intelligence and heart. Every interaction was thoughtful, attentive without hovering, and consistently professional.
The food and drink were outstanding: beautifully executed, perfectly paced, and delivered with calm confidence. Breakfast was exceptional, and every dining moment felt both refined and relaxed.
The rooms are elegant, silent, and deeply comfortable, with immaculate housekeeping and details that make you sleep better and feel instantly at ease. Facilities are equally impressive — spa, wellness, and public spaces are spotless, serene, and run with real precision.
What makes the Palace special is the atmosphere: a living classic with soul — grand, but never stiff; luxurious, but never cold. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you leave with genuine gratitude.

Authentic and warm place, with an incredible service. Everything was very smooth, the lobby bar atmosphere is a little gem and dinner at Le Grand was delicious. We will definitely come back!

Great hotel - friendly staff and very helpful. Spa was fantastic and gym had everything you need to get a good work-out. Second room for Pilates and stretching.

It was our second visit to this simply wonderful hotel - and being a return guest made everything even better. The staff knew us, reception remembered our tastes and everybody tried even harder to make us comfortable. The Gstaad Palace makes you feel truly at home. We love it.

The stay at the Gstaad Palace was among the best I've ever had. From the pick-up service at the train station, the check-in progress and the overall service during my stay everything went very easy and the staff was always very attentive and helpful. Staying at Gstaad Palace was like being in a fairy tale except that it was real. The views to the mountains from the room or the outside area with the pool are breathtaking. The Spa is on another level and fulfills all your wishes to relax or to work out at the gym. The food was heavenly and we had a special dinner at the Walig Hut that I can highly recommend. I will come back for sure and highly recommend staying at Gstaad Palace. This place really distinguishes itself from others through the incredible building, the service, the food and the nature around with the breathtaking views.

I started coming to Gstaad Palace 30 years ago, and have revisited this one-of- a-kind summer and ski resort hotel whenever the opportunity presented itself.
It’s definitely one of the top 3 Happy Places for me in the world. Looking out the window from my room - the feeling that resonates is “the hills are alive …”

The talented owner Andrea Scherz comes from a lineage of Swiss hoteliers who have safeguarded and improved on their patrimony. He takes great pride and passion in creating unique experiences for all his guests.
On this visit, I discovered recent soft refurbishments in the public areas and bedrooms that have enhanced the comfort & warmth, without losing the soul and atmosphere of the place that both hotel guests and local residents so appreciate and enjoy.
The innate service philosophy at the Palace prevails after all the years of care and dedication from father to son.
The Concierge team is exemplary - special thanks to Julien who looked after us so well.
I was very lucky with the fantastic end-of-season weather - blue skies and mid-20C’s the entire week.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Gstaad Palace and the destination with all the nearby villages to explore.

We are very ordinary tourists who decided to ‘drop in’ on the Palace for a coffee on a late summer morning. We had a 9 month old granddaughter and her parents with us.
We were greeted by the most genuine, friendly staff (and I’m not a pushover) from the entrance through to the lobby bar, and everywhere we wandered in our curiosity to see the renovations and refurbishments that have been made.
We were made to feel as welcome as any celebrity, and I was delighted by the pride taken by the staff concerning all aspects of the hotel. This is in direct contrast to some of the reviews I’ve read.
I am not a celebrity, nor can I spend like one. However, I think people are too ready to assume that staff in grand hotels will be snooty and unfriendly. I have never found this to be the case, in hotels as diverse as the Goring in London, or the Imperial in Tokyo. Thank you, Gstaad Palace for a very happy experience.

We loved our stay at your beautiful hotel. Since we had a birthday celebration we could not have found a better place to be.
Your team, the rooms and the restaurants were outstanding. In particular we will always remember the friendlliness of Barbara and her colleagues in organizing our special day.

Beautiful hotel - pool is super fun with kids, they have several heights for diving. Food is great and the view is very special. Highly recommend.

The Palace was one of our best experiences we have had at a hotel. The moment we arrived, we were treated as important guests. Employees bend over backwards to help us feel welcome and brought us what we needed. Cleanliness was superb, with ice and water provided daily in our room. Turn down service nightly with a treat was so appreciated. Spa was relaxing and unlike anything we had ever experienced. Couldn’t imagine a better place to stay. Thank you for treating us so well. The Palace does a lot of things superbly but what it does best of all is provide every single amenity imaginable while creating an intimate experience that makes you feel at home in every sense of the word.
Perched on its iconic hillside, The Palace quite literally sits on top of the hotel world. Simply put, the Palace sets the standard that everyone else aspires to.

Faultless experience at the Palace. The service was fantastic. The food exceptional. Worth every penny. The shuttle takes you down to town when necessary. The concierge is extremely helpful planning everything from dinners to hikes. They know you by name and it feels so personal. I will definitely be coming back again.

A stay at the Gstaad Palace is always special. The rooms are lovely, the food exquisite and the setting is wonderful. What sets the Palace apart from other luxury hotels is the people. From reception to restaurant the whole team make you feel welcome and that nothing is too much trouble.

I think it would be unfair to single out any event or any staff member. Every single thing we did and every person we met in Gstaad Palace was a credit to the hospitality profession. It was amazing to see all the traditional hotel structures in place and working perfectly. From Concierge to Chef de Rang to Commis Chef to Sommelier to Chambermaid (perhaps not a fashionable term these days). It was incredible to see and experience. The thing that was most noticeable was the GENUINE friendly nature of these people. I really need to find out about your recruitment and training process as it is quite remarkable. Thank you to everyone from room 527 !!! What a room. dual aspect views over 'piscine' and mountains. A superb bed... so comfortable. Beautiful Swiss wooden furniture and incredible windows. A stunning bathroom with the very best amenities. Fruit every day. Water every evening beside your bed. Turndown service with a crystal ball..... How idid the manage the 'turndown service' with our variable schedule??? It was always done... like secret faries visiting your room unseen. I also would like to say (perhaps to your surprise) that I thought the stay was incredible value for money. Value for money is not a consideration for the very wealthy, but for people like me who like to experience fine hotels as a 'Treat' , it does matter. I think Gstaad Palace was the best value for money experience I have ever had in my life. After our stay we thought 'what could they do better'???? We have no suggestions and I have worked in the hospitality industry all my life. Since I was 18 I wanted to stay at Gstaad Palace... finally ..... many years later, I was able to and it was everything I expected and so much more. Thank you for making a 'dream' a reality. This has to be one of the best family businesses in the world. You should all be very, very proud. f you are considering this hotel, Just do it. I think you will be very glad to have the memory.

This was my first time at Gstaad Palace in the summer and it is a much different experience than the winter experience. The hotel has a good entrance, and the staff are exceptional service is amazing and on this trip it was no different. I had a good functional suite that was both spacious and beautiful. The welcome amenities were top notch. I enjoyed breakfast and the service as always was excellent. In the room I found it difficult to keep the suite at a comfortable temperature, it was either too warm or too cold, but that issue was not the case when I visit in winter. The staff were very attentive and did come up several times to help.

Gstaad is a great place to stay during winter time with snow and sunshine. The hotel was once again amazing including the service, restaurants, bar and spa with a heated outdoor pool. It is very expensive but the return is high. Hope to go there again next year.

We had a wonderful and perfect stay in this one of its kind Palace Hotel! In particular, we loved the ‚ Le Grand Hall’ and the cosy rooms! In addition, all staff members were very friendly and professional and we very much appreciated the room upgrade and the Champagne! Therefore, we highly recommend this Hotel to any potential and future guests!

This is without a doubt the greatest hotel in the world. The hotel itself is unbelievable - rooms and facilities are renovated basically every off-season, the spa is spectacular, and the restaurants are gorgeous. I have only had world-class meals from breakfast all the way to dinner. What really makes the palace stand out, though, is the staff - they are the most attentive, caring and kind hotel staff I have ever encountered and go out of their way at every opportunity to go above and beyond for each guest. Nothing compares to this hotel - speaking as someone who has traveled the world staying in high end hotels, this has redefined what a luxury hotel can be.
