its quite expensive per night
The hotel gardens were beautiful but rooms are a little dated and overpriced compared to other accommodation in the area . The pool area was excellent with plenty of towels and sunbeds
The beds were on the firm side for me and as stated a little old fashioned and overpriced compared with other accommodation in the area.

Friendly staff
Beautiful gardens and very well situated. Slightly out of the central area but we had a car and at a push there is public transport or even to walk if not too warm. Delicious and well presented breakfast in a delightful setting and we used the pool too and ate in their restaurant on our first night. Room was large and spacious and the bed very comfortable. We had a room near the front of the property but its quiet and there was no traffic noise at night.
Cannot criticise. Attentive service, easy and very secure parking.

The location is great as is the shuttle service to and from the town centre. The food and service at both the restaurant and breakfast room were both excellent without anything being too much trouble for the friendly and attentive staff. The hotel staff without exception were the best!

Room was a great size and despite being over the restaurant was quiet.
Breakfast was excellent. The breakfast room had a small number of outside tables. Lots of lovely things for breakfast and a hot selection too.
We liked the shuttle bus service that took us to town. A great little plus
Building work going on next door. Lots of clanking of heavy plant made sitting by the pool not so relaxing. We were not advised of this at the time of booking
The shower was so complicated to work in the room and one day the room was not made up and we also struggled with the sockets, some did not work or were very temperamental.
One day the WiFi did not work although the hotel let us know they were working on it and it was resolved.

A really nice hotel. Beautiful gardens, plenty of genuinely smiling staff in all departments. Very good breakfast . We stayed in one of the 2 storey cottages which had the benefit of an upstairs terrace with sun all day and lovely views to the hills. But it was a bit noisy during the day from nearby winetram and work in the fields opposite. If we went again we'd go for one of the villa suites.
It's a bit out of town but the free shuttle worked a treat.
The restaurant isn't the best in town but with so many others to choose from, who cares.
