Franschhoek Country House & Villas delivered spotless, well-equipped villas—sadly with the soul of an American golf resort. We endured a mandatory tour of the resort we didn’t want, yet no one mentioned the master light switch, so after dinner we enjoyed a torchlit treasure hunt just to find the lights. At £500 a night, I expected magic, not Pringles surveillance—when checking out, I’d overlooked one minibar item and staff chased me like I’d nicked the Crown Jewels. Nearby stays offer charm, views, and even free champagne. Adequate, but I wouldn’t return unless I absolutely had to.
Lush property with amazing suites. We were pleasantly surprised to find a 2 storey suite with beautiful views of the Boland area and the mountains. The room had complimentary water and any additional were just a phone call away. We have dinner at the restaurant which was exceptional. I would recommend the Lamb Shoulder. The staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Special thanks to Tasha and Lizette

Завтрак был отличный!
Расположение близко к дороге, ночью шумно при открытом окне
Beautiful property which is well located and very friendly and helpful staff. Large rooms.
Not value for money, given the rate we paid yet we got a room by the main road, which was noisy
Beautiful area
Nothing
Staff really went above and beyond. I have never had such good service in a hotel. Every single member including gardeners, receptionist, drivers etc were incredibly happy and helpful.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and excellent food. It’s laid out in small blocks on beautiful gardens. Very quaint. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner during the stay and the food was fab. Lovely pool area, two pools one of which is heated. Located outside of town but a complimentary shuttle bus was provided.
We would have liked a do not disturb sign for our door. Staff were over enthusiastic to turn down or check mini bar and kept knocking and once even came in while we were there. It was unsettling.
Great location (right near the center and the free shuttle will take you back and forth), amazing staff who are really going the extra mile for you.
The room was magnificent!! Huge and with all the comfort you can wish for.
Beautiful hotel, gardens, pool and restaurant in an excellent location in Franshhoek
Thew entire experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. Breakfast was great and the Spa treatments were personalised and better than expected. The room was lovely and surpassed expectations
It is located a short walk to the village but they will drive you there (and back) when needed which is a short 2 minute trip. We went for the wine tram which is even closer. Used the restaurant one evening and food was delicious.
Only thing I marked them down on was facilities although I'm not sure it's fair. They have a bar but it is very small with just two sofas so not really an atmosphere created there. Having said that it wasn't used much so not sure if one thing drives the other.
Great friendly staff, nice room, Fab breakfast and nice pool area
its quite expensive per night
The hotel gardens were beautiful but rooms are a little dated and overpriced compared to other accommodation in the area . The pool area was excellent with plenty of towels and sunbeds
The beds were on the firm side for me and as stated a little old fashioned and overpriced compared with other accommodation in the area.
Free shuttle to nearby wineries, huge rooms, heated pool
Bad restaurant, got food poison
Welcoming, great food, friendly staff and lovely grounds / pool etc.
Nothing, it was great.
Great location.
