Very poor value for money

The property was dirty. I am surprised at previous reviews that say it was clean. There was hair in our shower tray, the carpets were unclean, there were dead flies on the windowsills. The bottom of the door from the breakfast room to the kitchen was very dirty, a spoon lay on the floor beside the door the whole time we were at breakfast with staff just walking past it. When checking out the girl on reception asked how was our stay, i made a face and said it was just allright, she smiled and said great, didnt ask for feedback, didnt want to know. This is very expensive for what it is, l would strongly urge people to check powerscourt before booking this hotel as you will probably find its not much more expensive. When you google this hotel ut shows a lady in a hot-tub and gives the impression it is a spa hotel, the spa is a separate building run by a different company.

Totally disappointed, don't trust on the reviews

Only the location was good thing

Cons:

No A/C or cooling very warm in this summer weather only one fan was given on request
The room wasin the corner of upper floor, hard to reach room with doors, requested to change the room which wssy denied that hotel is full
No wifi!!!! AT ALL! despite asking still excuses had to rely on mobile internet throughout the stay, THEY DIDN'T GAVE THE PASSWORD FOR WIFI WITH GOOD SIGNAL
Breakfast not good had to ask for everything, DESPITE TELLING VEGAN STILL BROUGHT NON VEGAN STUFF AND SENT BACK
Half of the Room window was broken, OTHER WINDOW WAS NOT OPENING AT ALL
Toilet was awful very small and poorly designed. NO space to wash in sink
Definitely was a waste of money not worth it
They can't claim its 4 star, in my opinion if i have the choice i ll claim money back after this bad stay

Pros:

It was easy to walk into the town from the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and plenty of free parking on the premises.

Cons:

The bathroom needed an update.

Highly recommended! Wonderful hotel in the garden of Ireland.
Pros:

Our second time to stay at this wonderful country house hotel. Spacious rooms, great facilities and excellent staff. The common areas are fabulous.

Cons:

Shower could have been stronger.

It was a nice location.

Cons:

The decoration in the bedroom was very poor. Big cracks between wall and ceiling. No air conditioning. Borrowed a fan from reception which was a bit of a help. Expensive.

Très bel hôtel. Nous étions une famille de 4, il a fait très chaud et l'hôtel n'a pas de climatisation, cependant les fenêtres en persienne durant la nuit nous ont été profitables. Petit Dej très copieux et vaste choix. Un peu cher pour une nuit cependant à cette période en comparaison avec d'autres hôtels de cette catégorie.

Pleasant stay in Summerhill during business related trip.
Pros:

Nice and clean facilities with extensive car park and lovely restaurant and bar. The food was above expectations and the staff (specially at the restaurant and bar) were the very kind and respectful. They made me feel very welcome.

Lovely stay in Summerhill hotel.
Pros:

Very comfortable, quiet country house hotel within a short walk or
drive from surrounding attractions. Staff lovely & helpful, breakfast really delicious and great choice.

Das Hotel wird völlig überbewertet. Ist ziemlich abgewohnt und in die Jahre gekommen.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, gediegen, in einem herrlichen Park mit altem Baumbestand, sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind toll, grosszügig, sauber, unserer Ansicht nach richtig schön. Das Frühstück war fantastisch, Buffet mit allem und dann noch zusätzlich Tellerservice für besondere Wünsche. Der Parkplatz ist direkt vor dem Haus. Das Dorf ist ca 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Einmal haben wir das Nachtessen im Hotel genossen. War sehr lecker und freundlich, Preis- Leistung stimmt. In der nahen Umgebung gibts denn Wicklow-Nationalpark, dieser lädt zum Wandern ein, zum Beispiel auf den Suger-Loaf.
Zum Flughafen sinds ca 1,5 Stunden mit dem Auto. Wir haben die beiden letzten Nächte unserer Irland-Reise in diesem Hotel sehr genossen.... jederzeit wieder:)
