Specious room with spectacular view
Most of the staff were very friendly! It was just we asked for ice through the room service and it never came despite promise its coming right away.

The surroundings were beautiful, the bedrooms and function rooms were lovely.
Beautiful hotel in vast grounds, the ability to feel as though you are far away despite being 5 minutes from a small town. Our room was beautiful and much larger than I had expected.
Communication with staff at times could have been better, although the hotel was busy. At times staff would walk past without a simple friendly communication or ask if assistance was required. This would make you feel a bit more welcome.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, most of the staff were friendly & helpful.. Reception female on Sunday morning was unhelpful and rude.
Rude receptionist on Sunday morning.. Breakfast was a disaster, service was EXTREMELY slow. I left without having any. Lots of guests were complaining. 45 minutes to wait for food is unacceptable.
Great venue for a wedding. Lovely function room and serving and bar staff in the function room were great. Bedroom in the courtyard annexe was very warm but a great size with lovely furnishings. Bed was comfortable and bathroom very nice with excellent shower. The flagstone floors with rugs were nice too. Choice of foods at breakfast was good and everything tasty.
Experience in the bar on arrival mixed. One great member of staff and one who wasn't so great! Bar is a lovely setting and offers a great range of cocktails!

Staff almost non existent this time as they were busy with a wedding taking place.
We weren’t pre informed about this. Restricted dinner menu in the bar only, oddly with sandwiches as one choice!
Beat of the music from the wedding played until about midnight. Messy corridors & lift area, possibly from wedding guests & staff too busy to clean up for other non wedding guests!
