The Bad: Avoid the Food (1/5)
The dining experience was incredibly disappointing. The buffet was limited and stale, the breakfast chole was undercooked, and the Pan-Asian dinner was tasteless, served cold, and overpriced for the small portions. Even ordering was a hassle with repeatedly dropped calls, and the food took over an hour to arrive despite ordering directly through the Restaurant Manager, Mr. Angnol. I had to leave my dinner unfinished.
The Good: Stellar Service (5/5)
The housekeeping and front office teams saved this stay. Rohan at the front desk was highly efficient with room allocation, and the housekeeping team was incredibly polite and prompt.
Special Thanks to Mr. Ali
The absolute highlight was Mr. Ali. He welcomed me personally at check-in to ensure I felt at home. When I requested a hard pillow that the hotel didn't have, he went above and beyond to have his tailor custom-make one for me. Outstanding hospitality and leadership!
Overall it was a very nice experience thank you le royal meridien and all the staffs especially sreejita and kushal for your guidance

All good
It was a good experience staying at Le Royal Meridein Chennai. Rooms are clean and spacious
The property is strategically located in the heart of the city, with excellent connectivity. Chennai Metro Station, the Railway Station, Bus Stand, shopping malls, hospitals, and Chennai International Airport are all within approximately a 10-minute drive, offering exceptional convenience for both residents and businesses.
The quality of the food needs significant improvement. Most of the dishes were empty for extended periods, and the staff took too long to refill them. This resulted in a disappointing dining experience, as many guests were unable to enjoy the full range of items offered.
Le Royal Meridian... In a nutshell was a disappointment.
I understand its an old establishment and I will not badger about the dingy dark room... However, the stale odour from the aircon is unacceptable. The fact it went away after a spray from the HK team makes it worse... that attention to detail should be there before the guest checks in. Phone not working, ditto some lights all made the same a displeasureable place.
The breakfast was again a major let down... Coming down around 9.00 AM , the mangoes were finished and were not replenished, same with a prawn salad... service shouldn't slacken off even if the property is old. Not upto the mark considering the Marriott brand.
Amidst this all I felt the Front Office lady Dipa was a beacon of what is expected off... clear communications, dexterity and the general warmth was really appealing. Score would have been lower otherwise.
The general breakfast and HK needs a major pick me up.
After staying with the same in Saigon and Phuket , this was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT specially with the lack of attention to SERVICE.
Good Luck.
Fine Stay. Ms.Nithya ,Ms.Sreejitha and Ms.Dipa from front desk was kind and helped me smoothly with the check out process . Highly recommended this hotel for your next stay
