The hotel is located at the northest point of the island, which means that it is really quiet.
Staff are very kind and polite. The reception staff are friendly and always offered help.
Our son had a food poisoning from one of the restos in the centre and the reception staff didn't stop asking about his wellbeing and offered help.
it is hard to think about any cons, but if I must, I will mention the water pressure, but this is a Mexico issue in general .
Beautiful hotel made even more fantastic by the kind and generous staff. Christian, Armando, Cruz, Gregorio, Leonel, all made our trip special.
Beautiful location on the water. the waitstaff at the hotel’s restaurant is so nice and accommodating. This was our second year here, we will return
We had a lovely stay. All the staff, particularly Christian, Cruz, Sander, and the reception staff were great!
Great atmosphere, beautiful location.
Christian & Rojas took great care of us and accommodated our vegan & vegetarian diets at breakfast. Beautiful property, friendly staff and fun wildlife viewing. Lunch and margaritas on point!

We had a wonderful time at Las Nubes. This place is perfectly located at the farthest northeast side of the island. There’s no more hotels beyond this point which makes this place extremely relaxing. It’ll take you 25 minutes to walk to town by the beach or a 10 minute taxi ride. The hotel blends with nature. Iguanas, seagulls, raccoons, and other animals roam around the hotel throughout the day. The hotel staff is super friendly and are always willing to help. The rooms are just the right size and the daily room cleaning service is great! We had breakfast included with our reservation and we were glad we did so. You can also have lunch and dinner at the same place but there are tons of many other options in town, ranging from small local traditional seafood places to fine dinner and cocktail bars that offer incredible seafood and steak options. The layout of the hotel beach is awesome. You can get cocktails and food while enjoying a relaxing time.
Excellent experience with Cruz, Christian and their team. Recommended for a perfect gettaway
Leo, Christian and the team at las Nubes have been great from start to finish. Great hospitality from everyone.
Las Nubes was an amazing get away that far exceeded our expectations. We arrived after a 24 hour journey & Angel was fabulous at getting us to our room & in bed as quickly as possible. Throughout our stay he was incredibly helpful & always friendly & supportive no matter what we asked for.
Veronica, the concierge was very helpful even before our arrival. She offered advice on transportation from the Cancun airport & if it weren't for her we would have missed the last ferry at 9:30 pm. During our stay she was always there to recommend offerings. We enjoyed a mixology & cooking class, yoga & could have even taken a bird photography hike that were all part of the hotel inclusive offerings. She also recommended the spa where I had the best deep tissue massage & scheduled another.
Christian & Cruz greeted us for breakfast every morning. The corn muffins & black beans were something i never could have imagined but will dream of.
Las Nubes is a treasure you rarely come across these days. Authentic with the feeling of family where the friendliness is genuine & the people are wonderful.
I almost forgot the fabulous location. Located directly on the beautiful sandy beach not far to Punta Mosquito, I feel it is the best location on the island. Every day we walked on the amazing sandy beach into town in less than 20 minutes. If you aren't into walking there are plenty of transportation options available. We look forward to coming back to Isla Holbox & will for sure stay here again.
Had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Tristan and Leo from the restaurant were both very attentive and helpful. Thank you for the great hospitality!
We had a wonderful time at Las Nubes. We loved the rooms and the resort in general - a very luxurious feel! All of the staff checked in with us often to see if they could be of service. There was a tall gentleman working the front desk, and I forgot his name, but he was very genuinely kind and I really enjoyed his help. Veronica, in concierge, was also very helpful in showing us our room and the property - no sales pitch!!! Javier in F +B and his team were very attentive.
There were small little mix ups with a few of our food orders but it sort of became one of those quirky little enjoyable "human" things about the resort. The mix ups were tiny, like giving one person bacon with fried egg, and the other tomatoes with scrambled eggs, when it was ordered tomatoes with fried egg and bacon with scrambled. We were in Paradise, so it really wasn't that major and it definitely wasn't intentional. If you're going, be happy and don't sweat the small stuff - I want to stress, it was just like mixups, not food allergy type stuff..
All the food was delicious. I liked the picana steak better than the ribeye, but both were a little too fatty. They were cooked perfectly. The eggs were quality - nice and orange/yellow.
I haven't seen anyone advertise it, but you can see the bioluminescence from the hotel. Just go out late at night or early morning and walk north 50-100ft. It was great! The tours may be better for pictures, but we were very happy going on our own, footsteps away.
The taxis were great for the most part and the staff at Las Nubes were a big help getting us where ever we were. Use Whatsapp. TIP: if you go to punta coco, see if you can arrange to have the same taxi pick you back up - there's a group of 5-10 taxis that wait at punta Cocos and charge you $250 pesos to return to City center instead of the officially posted $150. You can find the official sign at the ferry terminal. For reference, from ferry to downtown is 50 pesos. From ferry to Las nubes is 150 pesos. Ferry to punta Cocos is 150 pesos. Punta coco to las nubes is 300 pesos. Anywhere in between is generally 100 pesos, but possibly 150.
The beach at Las nubes is premium, most of the northern properties have great sand. The further south you go the lesser quality sand and generally not as nice of a beach.
We can't wait to go back!
Javier and staff are the best. They are very accommodating, super frindley and always with a smile. We would definitely recommend a visit.
Amazing place
Staff top notch!!!
